Dota 2 developers released the long-awaited update 7.32 this night, which included major changes to the game, featuring a new type of creeps on the lines. Given all the innovations, the game will now be longer the same.

It’s no secret that the community is visibly tired of the current version of the game and everyone wanted some changes. Looking ahead, we would like to note that after the release of 7.32 the game has not changed dramatically, but the update made significant adjustments to the gameplay.

Valve released an update where they again reworked a lot of heroes, and their Aganim scepter abilities, added new neutral items, removed old ones and adjusted the map with the economy a little bit. Moreover, upcoming The International 11 will be played on this patch, so we can safely say that it will be interesting!

New Flagbearer creep

One of the key innovations of this patch is the new type of lane creep — Flagbearer, which appears with a creep pack on the second minute of game time.

A banner creep is an enhanced melee creep that can be distinguished by the banner on his back. At the two-minute mark, every other wave will contain one of these creeps. They have the same health and damage as normal melee creeps, but have 40% resistance to magic and have an aura that gives 3.0 health regeneration to allied units.

When a creep is killed by a hero, it will give bonus gold to all allies in the radius, which equals to the amount you get when taking down the average creep. This doesn’t happen if the creep is killed by an enemy creep or tower.

This can affect the game in completely different ways. Players will now have extra survivability in the early game because they can count on an extra hit every minute. At the same time, letting go of lanes now can cause struggles.

Getting a level is now more difficult

Many of the changes in patch 7.32 for Dota 2 are likely designed to slow down the pace of play. First and foremost, this has to do with slowing down getting levels. The developers change the number of experience points to advance your hero.

Old and new values:

Level 2: 230 – 240
Level 3: 370 – 400
Level 4: 480 – 520

Level 30: 7500 – 8000

Minor Map Changes

Along with this, Valve decided to slightly change the map. Now, It will be harder for midrange players to farm creeps on the lane, as the small creep camp has been removed.

Stairs for the Dire side now moved slightly (they are in the same place, but the elevated area next to the Roshpit has become smaller). Because of this, both the rune appearance point and the outpost behind Dire have been moved slightly. The change in the location of trees in the triangle can also be classified as minor.

The economy is also affected

Seems like support in-game life has been made more difficult again. It’s all about the fact that Dota 2 has reduced the passive gold by as much as 15%. On the one hand, it’s compensated by the above-mentioned banner creeps, but the income from them will be far from equal to the cut value.

What about the glyph?

The glyph’s recharge will now update every time the first tower of any level is knocked down. For example, if a team has all three second-level turrets and the enemy team is attacking the mid lane, the dropped tower will renew your glyph again.

This means that teams will now have more struggles while implementing the fast-push strategy. The increased number of glyphs will force the team to defend their towers, and thus impose an additional battle somewhere in the middle of the game. More info about the heroes and item changes can be found on the official Dota 2 website.
