More changes have come Team Secret’s way as they aim to get elusive success in the VCT Pacific stage.

After the release of Jim “Borkum” Timbreza from the roster and the benching of Noel “NDG” de Guia, Secret’s lead tactician Evan “Warbirds” Olzem has been let go by the organization.

“It wasn’t an easy choice but we’ve taken the decision to remove Warbirds from his coaching duties,” Team Secret said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “We’re grateful for his contribution and the time we spent together and hope to see him again soon.”

Olzem had been in the team since franchising came to Valorant in 2022 and has been instrumental in some of the team’s most important moments in esports, including Secret’s win on home soil during the Asia Pacific Predator League in January 2024.

He brought with him valuable experience playing for NA leagues, such as the Renegades and Oxygen Academy.

Meanwhile, Tim “dummy” Olson is brought in by Team Secret as his replacement. Olson served one full VCT Pacific stage with Warbirds as his assistant before being promoted to the head coaching position.

Dummy used to play for The Vale and VDT, before being called up to become assistant coach.

No announcements have been made yet as to who will be filling up NDG and Borkum’s slots in the organization.

Team Secret will be playing the second stage of the VCT Pacific 2024 leg, its final chance at securing a major, by June 15th.
