Overview of the VCT EMEA Partner Teams
- Team Liquid
Team Liquid leads the charge as one of the most consistent powerhouses in EMEA. The team from the Netherlands has dominated VCT since 2020, and has recently proven its regional dominance by claiming the VCT 2023 EMEA League title.
- Fnatic
Fnatic also holds supremacy over EMEA teams, being the defending champions of both VCT EMEA stages and landing impressive finishes at international Valorant events in 2024. In 2023, too, they succeeded with victories in LOCK//IN São Paulo and Masters Tokyo.
- Team Vitality
The French organization, Team Vitality, has brought some serious dedication and a threatening surge in growth since joining VCT. While their 2023 season run was modest, they qualified for VALORANT Champions 2024 and showcased remarkable potential.
- Karmine Corp
Despite being relatively new to esports, Karmine Corp has quickly become fan favorites. With consistently strong performances throughout the season and their gold finish at the VCT 2024 EMEA Kickoff, they displayed promising results that attracted a massive support base.
- GIANTX
GIANTX unites British and Spanish esports traditions from the fusion of EXCEL Esports and Giants Gaming. They faced challenges all throughout the 2024 season despite making it to Champions 2023. Their performances in 2025 will be crucial to reclaim their glory.
- Team Heretics
The Spanish organization has also established themselves among EMEA’s top contenders. Team Heretics had consistently proven their worth with high placements in S-tier Valorant events, including 2nd place finishes in last year’s Masters Shanghai and Valorant Champions.
- FUT Esports
Slowly but surely, one of Turkey’s representatives among the VALORANT VCT EMEA partner teams is maintaining their strong presence in the league. FUT Esports, despite not clinching victories, have made solid appearances in multiple Masters tournaments, as well as in both Champions 2023 and 2024.
- BBL Esports
The second Turkish team in VCT EMEA hasn’t qualified for international events yet, but shows promising development. BBL Esports’ potential cannot be disregarded as they continue to display evident growth. While victory remains elusive, they may get their breakthrough anytime soon.
- Movistar KOI
Created through OverActive Media’s acquisition of Movistar Riders and KOI in 2024, this Spanish organization brings significant backing and a massive fanbase, though they’re still working to make their mark in international competitions.
- Natus Vincere
NAVI showed their teeth in 2023 with multiple international appearances, including at Champions 2023 and Masters Tokyo. The Ukrainian organization saw fewer qualifications in 2024, but they remain a respected force in the region, still showing strong presence.
- Gentle Mate
Gentle Mates from France is the first team to be promoted, earning their spot through VCT Ascension EMEA 2023. As newcomers, they have maintained a solid performance against other VALORANT VCT EMEA partner teams, hinting at a bright future ahead.
- Apeks
The Norwegian team has also earned their place in the current roster through last season’s VCT Ascension EMEA. After nearly making it in 2023, Apeks arrived with momentum, defeating PCFIC Esports in the 2024 Finals for the promotion spot.
VCT 2025 EMEA: What’s Next?
The 12 current partner teams will begin the season with the VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff in January or February 2025, at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin. This will determine the top two who will then qualify for Masters Bangkok. However, for the other teams, not all hope is lost.
Throughout the competitive season, one kickoff event, two international leagues, and two Masters lead up to the most prestigious Valorant tournament—Valorant Champions. These 12 teams will have all these chances to vie for coveted titles and assert their superiority in EMEA and even globally. As we approach the 2025 season, expect fierce rivalries, strategic innovation, and unforgettable moments from Europe’s finest VALORANT squads.
