Major changes are coming for all-Filipino Valorant team Team Secret as one player left and another has been pulled to the reserves.
Jim “Borkum” Timbreza has announced his departure from Team Secret after three years of playing for the black-and-white.
Borkum has been with the team since their Bren Esports days before they were acquired by Team Secret back in 2021. Borkum was remembered for his game sense and clutch wins, which was known globally as “Borkum Time.”
He also was part of the original roster of Bren Esports, which also included Jessie “JessieVash” Cuyco, Riley “witz” Go, Kevin “Dispenser” Te, and Jayvee “DubsteP” Paguirigan. This lineup had risen to global fame during 2021 Valorant Champions Berlin.
Due to this development, only JessieVash has since remained with Team Secret.
In a post on X, Borkum simply said, “Life goes on from now on, still gonna get into shape and finding a new home while on break.”
Meanwhile, Noel “NDG” De Guia, the most recent acquisition for the team, was moved to the reserve list after three tournaments with Team Secret.
Despite NDG’s strong win debut during the Asia Pacific Predator League, he had failed to gain traction during VCT Pacific, often missing games in both Kickoff and Stage 1.
No announcements have been made as of press time, but VCT Pacific Stage 2 is set to start on June 15th.
