VALORANT Patch 12.07 Brings Discord Integration and a Rebuilt Settings Menu

Riot Games has released VALORANT patch 12.07, a quality-of-life update that skips meta-shifting balance changes in favor of social features, interface improvements, and store fixes. The headline addition is a Discord integration that brings cross-platform social functionality directly into the game.

Discord Lands Inside VALORANT

Players can now link their Discord and VALORANT accounts to access a set of social features without leaving the client. The integration allows players to invite friends to parties directly, share lobby links, and see which Discord contacts are currently playing VALORANT — all without alt-tabbing. The feature is currently in a regional testing phase starting in Brazil, with a rollout to the US and Canada to follow. A global release is targeted for patch 12.08.

Settings Menu Rebuilt from the Ground Up

The PC settings menu has received a complete redesign. Parameters are now grouped into clearly defined categories covering UI, filters, and network options, with tooltips added throughout and related settings consolidated to reduce navigation time. The visual presentation has been updated while keeping the overall layout functional during live gameplay sessions — a common pressure point for players making quick adjustments mid-session.

Store Fixes and Skin Crosshair Updates

Several persistent issues in the store have been addressed, including display and color bugs, problems with item preview rendering, interface alignment inconsistencies, and lag that occurred specifically when a player’s friends list was large. Crosshair appearances on a selection of weapon skins including the Marshal and Operator have also been adjusted to bring them closer in line with the standard visual presentation.

A Preparatory Patch Before Bigger Changes

Patch 12.07 does not move the competitive needle, but the Discord integration in particular represents a meaningful step toward reducing friction in VALORANT’s social ecosystem. Larger changes are expected in the patches that follow once the regional rollout of Discord features is complete.
