Ninjas in Pyjamas has benched Charles “CREA” Beauvois, leaving their VALORANT roster down to just four players. The French pro is understood to have struggled with mental health issues over recent months, which likely had an impact upon his performances. The Viper main joined the organization back in July 2020.

During his time with Ninjas in Pyjamas, competing alongside Enzo “Fearoth” Mestari and Damien”Hyp” Souville, CREA won the GLX Elite Europe, a lower tier VALORANT event. However, with the team having failed to qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour Masters Two Reykjavik, it comes as little surprise that NiP has made changes.

What CREA had to say on his departure

The team also failed to deliver at the EU VCT: Stage Three Challengers, where they did not make it past the closed qualifiers stage. Speaking on the decision, CREA stated that: “Unfortunately for me and the team, my performances have been less and less convincing over time.

“Although I almost always felt that I was having a positive impact from a strategic and human point of view, my individual stats were not up to scratch. In the last few months, I have had several moments of self-doubt which have negatively affected my individual performance.”

The 24-year-old former Team Hyp pro played the majority of matches with Viper over recent months, averaging an ACS of 179.9, 0.96 K/D and an ADR of 125.8. CREA has seemingly lost the motivation to compete at the highest level, with the veteran set to take some time off, before likely joining a new team.

What’s next for NiP VALORANT?

Following the departure of CREA, the NiP VALORANT roster is made up by Adam “ec1s” Eccles, Yaroslav “Jady” Nikolaev, Egor “chiwawa” Stepanyuk, and Emir “rhyme” Muminovic. The org will be on the hunt for a new player to complete its roster, with no potential names having been discussed at this stage. The pressure is also potentially mounting on coach Emil “eMIL” Sandgren, who has been in charge since November last year.

It has been a busy period for Ninjas in Pyjamas, with Kévin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans having switched from competing to the assistant coach position. Meanwhile, analyst Thibaut “menegh” Brognard departed the org in March.

The last official VCT match NiP played was at the end of July, since then they had a lot of time to get things sorted and to look how things should be done in the future.
