A major announcement from Tencent and Riot Games has came out of ChinaJoy 2025. VALORANT Mobile now has a confirmed release for China on Android and iOS. The Tencent-owned Lightspeed Studios is responsible for the mobile version of VALORANT, which is the first regional launch of the very popular 5v5 shooter from Riot Games.
VALORANT Mobile Release Date in China
After the closed beta testing in April and June 2025, VALORANT Mobile is confirmed to launch in China on August 19, 2025.
China has had numerous mobile games spend small amounts of time or develop in exclusivity in China, contributing to a lot of regional exclusivities. VALORANT Mobile is following that path. It also didn’t hurt that Tencent was closely involved and already had the green light from regulators much earlier in the process, hence allowing for a quicker launch in China.
The global version is still in development, with expectations pointing to a release in late 2025 or early 2026. At this stage, Riot Games is primarily focused on ensuring a successful launch in China, their largest mobile market.

Riot also plans to invest RMB 1.5 billion (~$200 million) over three years to build out a mobile VALORANT esports system in China, starting with tournaments from September 2025.
