Immortals Move VALORANT Pro Truo to Inactive Roster. According to reports this week, North American organization Immortals has moved Robert “truo” Pham to its inactive VALORANT roster. The Canadian is believed to have been absent from practice over recent days, with the talented duelist eyeing up new opportunities as a result.

While no announcement has been made by either party as of yet, it is likely that an announcement will be made sooner rather than later. Truo joined Immortals at the end of June, where he featured mainly as a duelist. However, having been asked to play several different roles for the team, the youngster struggled to find any form of consistency. While featuring on Omen a handful of times, it was with agents Raze, Reyna and Jett where we saw truo the most.

Why Immortals has struggled over recent months

With both Rhett “Kehmicals” Lynch and Andrew “ShoT_UP” Orlowski having also played duelists for Immortals, it could well be that there are internal issues that we are not aware of. Immortals have undoubtedly failed to live up to expectations, partly due to the lack of dedicated role players. The team missed out on a place at the VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 3 Challengers 2.

Immortals were defeated by FaZe Clan at the Round of 16 stage, a result which ultimately saw the North American favourites eliminated from Challengers 2 contention. Since this disappointment, Daniel “Rossy” Abedrabbo has stepped up, helping the team qualify for the Nerd Street Gamers Summer Championship. Immortals made it to the event via the last chance qualifier, where they recorded victories over UYU and NorCal Esports.

Also Truo struggled the last couple weeks because of his bad internet connection. He complained multiple times on his private Twitter Account. He had to play with a ping over 100ms but he confirmed that it will be fixed by the 26th of August. That also stopped him from playing Valorant in the past weeks on a good level.

When will we see Immortals in action next?

The Nerd Street Gamers Summer Championship comes with a $20,000 prize pool, with the event that gets underway on August 18 running seperatly from the Riot Games VALORANT Champions Tour. The Immortals roster for the tournament will comprise of Rossy, Kehmicals, ShoT_UP, Jonah “JohanP” Pulice and Amgalan “Genghsta” Nemekhbayar.

The likes of jcStani and NatureE have departed Immortals over recent months, in what has been a period of transition for the organization.
