The VALORANT Community Awards was first announced in November 2025 as a new esports celebration that spotlights talent from the VCT and the Game Changers scene. TenZ, who is one of the most famous VALORANT personalities and former pro players, is the creator of the event in collaboration with Riot Games and Red Bull Gaming.

According to recent reports, TenZ announced the VALORANT Community Awards will now be held on February 4, 2026. The main reason for the delay is to allow more players, teams, and fans to attend the show in person, many of whom would have been unavailable during the holiday season in December.

TenZ explained on social media that the delay aims to make the awards ceremony more inclusive and ensure it becomes a memorable live event for attendees, stream viewers, and community members alike. In addition, the announcement of finalists for each category will be out soon ahead of the new date.
