Valorant Champions 2024 Day 14 UPDATE: Current Brackets, Teams, and More

Valorant Champions 2024 has been heating up since August! The playoffs are in full swing, and today’s update tell us that the matches are sure to be exciting. 

Many people are hype because of the playoffs. Top 8 teams will be battling it out for the crown. Today, the Sentinels and EDward Gaming got a showdown against VCT Masters Madrid, who won against them. Plus the LEVIATAN is taking on Team Heretics. Who do you think will come out on the top? 

EDward Gaming Dominates Sentinels in Epic Showdown

The showdown between EDward Gaming and Sentinels was a blast! It is said that it was the first time that these two teams had faced off, and everyone is excited about what will happen. 

Everyone was hyped to see TenZ go up against Kang that represents the new wave of Valorant. The Sentinels had experienced a lot of ups and downs, yet they seemed to be hitting a huge step in the Champions. 

The Sentinels surprised everyone by dominating EDward Gaming on Haven and winning the first map, by taking the lead with a score of 8-4. 

Sentinels were rock solid on defense, even if the EDward Gaming tried their best to win. Thus the Sentinels were incredible, especially when it came to defusing the bomb. They pulled off a clean sweep of their 5 wins by defusing the bomb every time. 

The match 2 was different. Both teams were evenly matched for the first half. But with Smogy on Clove, EDward Gaming managed to bounce back and win the map in favor of 13-9, all the way to the final map. 

CHICHOO and EDward gaming absolutely destroyed the Sentinels. It was like watching a demolition derby. EDward Gaming won the match against Sentinels easily with 13-6, ending on a KDA of 23/10/10 and 20/12/3, respectively. 

This is a huge recognition for EDward Gaming because they’re the first chinese team to make it to the top 4 of an international Valorant tournament. Meanwhile, Sentinels will have to regroup and face off against FNATIC in this next competition. 

Leviathan Takes Down Team Heretics

In the 2nd match between LEVIATAN and Team Heretics, two teams were expecting to face off. LEVIATAN won the VCT Americas Stage, while Team Heretics lost to Gen G after showcasing their talent in VCT Masters Shanghai. 

The first game was played on the ice box map. LEVIATAN decided to use Harbor as their second controller. They started leading strongly at halftime, 7-5, yet the real intensity of an action happened in the second half. Both teams were exchanging blows, and it went all the way to overtime.

Both teams got at least 20 kills, but in the end LEVIATAN pulled through and won 15-13. Tex from the team of LEVIATANS was on fire, getting his first kill in seven rounds. 

Team Heretics couldn’t stop the LEVIATAN that resulted in their defeat in the  first seven rounds in a row on defense. 

Game 2 was all about Aspas from LEVIATAN. He was unstoppable, making every play perfectly. He was a total beast, finishing with an intense kill of KD of 29/15/3. Plus he got triple kills and was first to kill someone five times! His amazing performance helped his team keep control of the game.

In their success against Team Heretics, the LEVIATANS will face off against EDward gaming in the upper bracket final, while Team Heretics will fight against DRX.

Day 14 of Valorant Champions 2024 delivers excitement and unexpected twists. The competition is getting even more intense as they reach for the title.
