This year, Riot Games plans to add many new features to its popular tactical shooter VALORANT. Replays are one of many requests from the community, and the development team plans to incorporate them into the game shortly.
In a recent episode of “Dev Diaries,” Riot Games previewed some features for 2023, including a new Team Deathmatch mode.
On the other hand, Riot’s executive producer and head of the development team, Anna Donlon, recently noted in a tweet that those are not the only potential projects currently in the works.
Hi! Wanted to share that we have much more in development than we talked about in the kick-off video. Lots of things! Things like replays and new server locations and mode updates and <insert the thing you really care about here.> 1/3

VALORANT adds a lot of useful features to the game
According to Anna Donlon, also known as Riot Supercakes, the development team is working on more material for the game than mentioned in the most recent video. However, she did not comment on any release date.
We typically don’t talk about those things until we can make firmer commitments around dates or share actual details… mainly out of concern we might hype things up sooner than we should, over-promise, etc.
But really, we should chat more. 2/3

On the other hand, she confirmed that new servers, game mode updates, and a replay system are being developed.
Replay system
Since the release of VALORANT, the community has been clamoring for a replay feature. From the looks of it, the system has been in development for a long time but, for some reason, has not yet been included in the fps game.
Thanks to this system, players can watch a video replay of the gunfights they have participated in after the game. An internal replay system will avoid resorting to a third-party recording tool and allow players to review their mistakes and improve their skills.
Replays are coming to VALORANT. There is no set release date. It has been in development for a few months now, they are targeting this year, but again no set date. | #VALORANT

New server locations
VALORANT will host more server sites in the future, as Donlon said. A configuration close to the player’s location guarantees a lower network ping, giving him a competitive advantage.
At the moment, there are 25 servers spread across six continents:
- North America
- Latin America
- Europe
- Brazil
- Asia-Pacific
- Korea
Game mode updates
VALORANT currently offers six different game modes:
- Swiftplay
- Competitive
- Escalation
- Deathmatch
- Spike Rush
- Unranked
It also includes a Custom mode that users can use to design and play unique matches.
According to Anna Donlon’s post, the development team is working on changes for several of these modes. In addition, users can expect changes to Deathmatch, which contains disruptive spawn points that the community has actively protested.
Today VALORANT officially confirmed a Team Deathmatch Mode. | #VALORANT
It is an Ability-enabled team deathmatch game mode. Which players will race to be the first team to 100 kills.
Currently it is called HURM.

It seems that Riot Games is taking community feedback very seriously in 2023. Players will notice many tweaks to VALORANT’s functionality and entirely new features in the coming days.
On January 27, 2023, the team will hold a Lotus AMA on Reddit, where fans can voice their opinions and ask questions about the new map.
