The League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) Winter Split has ended, and there is no doubt that G2 Esports fans must still be celebrating with their new trophy. However, for many other organizations, it has only started a crucial period in which they can strengthen themselves to improve their performances in the upcoming tournaments: the Transfer Market.

Undoubtedly, all teams will keep an eye on the market to try to get their hands on the pieces they need to take their team to the top. The popular Fnatic organization is one of them, and most likely, they will make drastic changes in their lineup.

On the other hand, we have that Team Vitality surprises the entire LEC with an exciting signing on the eve of the start of the Spring Split. And is that, according to reports on Twitter, Elias “Upset” Lipp would return to the LEC as Vitality’s new shooter.

Reports say that Upset will be a new Team Vitality player

As Alejandro “Anonimotum” Gomis reported on his Twitter account, the German ADC, Upset, would have a verbal agreement to leave the Fnatic bench and join the ranks of Team Vitality for the LEC Spring Split 2023.

With this, Upset would return to the servers of the highest competitive level of League of Legends. This German shooter was one of the best players in the LEC in 2022, but after different internal problems with the British organization, the player was benched. According to Gomis, Upset’s signing by Team Vitality would be to replace Matúš “Neon” Jakubčík for the LEC Spring Split 2023.

According to the information by Anonimotum, the French outfit plans to bench the Slovakian Neon for not meeting expectations at the start of 2023.

There is no doubt that this is excellent news for Team Vitality, as the team failed to deliver in the LEC Winter Split 2023 and fell short in the playoffs on their way to winning their first title. This was the golden opportunity for the French, but with the signing of Upset, this team would be much more fearsome and powerful.

A German bot lane for Team Vitality

Undoubtedly, we were surprised not to see Upset competing with Fnatic in the first LEC Split in 2023. However, this time is over, and if this signing becomes official, we will have a spectacular Team Vitality ready to fight side by side with G2 Esports, MAD Lions, KOI, and company.

In 2022 Upset had a solid record of 7.2 KDA with a Kill Participation of 67% and almost 10 CS per minute. In addition, Vitality claims to have an utterly German bot lane, with which they will seek to win the Spring Split title.

Finally, after being echoed in different social networks and rumors by independent journalists, the player has published a message on Twitter that we can practically consider confirming his signing for Team Vitality.

With Upset’s signing, Team Vitality’s starting lineup for the LEC 2023 Spring Split is as follows:

  • Kyeong “Photon” Gyu-Tae
  • Zhou “Bo” Yangbo
  • Luka “Perkz” Perković
  • Elias “Upset” Lipp
  • Norman “Kaiser” Kaiser
  • Alexander “Carter” Cartwright (Coach)
