When a team fails to meet expectations, it suggests that different lineup changes are coming. However, the popular North American esports organization, TSM, has exceeded its roster after its League of Legends division failed to qualify for the LCS Spring Split playoffs. As a result, both TSM’s CEO and team manager have left the organization.

These changes usually happen in off-seasons, as organizations tend to do a total restructuring if expectations are not met after an entire season. In addition, the fact that two important board members of the organization are leaving at this point in the season leads us to believe that the problems go beyond those shown on the servers.

TSM separates from two important board members

While the organization has not made any official statement, Glen Yang (former CEO of TSM) and Kristine Huang (former team manager) have confirmed it on their social networks.

Yang and Huang joined the organization in the 2022 season, in which the organization was undergoing a very significant transition period and faced different problems. In this period, many players came in and out of the team, showing that things were not working properly in the organization.

Glen Yang notes that his experience working in the NA region has been spectacular and that he will always have it in his life. On the other hand, he also highlights that the TSM League of Legends team has given their all to achieve victories in the LCS, but, unfortunately, they failed to advance to the playoffs. Finally, he said he was proud of the team’s performance in the Split.

On the other hand, Kristine Huang was briefer with her words and thanked the team and all her co-workers for everything they have learned over the past year.

Yang and Huang are not the only ones to leave TSM

Although the news of these two important board members is now known, they are not the only ones who have left the organization in recent days. A week ago, Walter Wang announced via his Twitter account that he was stepping down as TSM’s chief operating officer. Unlike the rest, Wang was part of the TSM board for six years, so he also had a very touching farewell through his message.

Uncertain Future for TSM in its League of Legends Division

Undoubtedly, the 2023 season started with very low expectations due to the departure of Mingyi “Spica” Lu in the offseason. However, the organization tried to cover this tough loss with players who gave their all in every match. But, in the end, they failed to live up to expectations and were left out of the LCS Spring Split playoffs.

With these changes we are seeing, it is clear that the organization wants to make a clean slate from the top of the team. But, on the other hand, it is now rumored that they will make changes in the team’s technical direction, and this, finally, will bring some changes in the team’s lineup for the rest of the season.
