Streamer Tyler “TrainwrecksTV” Faraz Niknam (31) has become popular on Twitch with gambling. He usually loses large sums of money, but on New Year’s Day he won a big jackpot of 5.7 million dollars and raked in more big winnings. He decided to distribute one million US dollars (about €880,000) to his viewers.

His $ 1 million giveaway was the result of him winning multiple jackpots, including a $ 5.7 million jackpot. With this, he wanted to return something to the community. Several viewers received big amounts of money from Trainwreck. That was a quite noble gesture of the casino streamer and his viewers were more than happy.

Who is Trainwreck?

Trainwreck has been on Twitch since 2014, he is a similar streamer to Forsen: he is firmly part of Twitch’s inventory, but is a controversial person who appeals to a certain niche. Trainwreck emphasizes that he does his own thing and doesn’t really care what anyone else thinks of him. However, when someone is being silly to him – like EA the other day – he still gets upset about it.

Trainwreck is “also” a gaming streamer, he can play shooters like Valorant, CS:GO or Call of Duty: Warzone. In general, though, he’s more of a chatterer who has also done “IRL” streams. In 2021 came his big break on Twitch: now he’s all about “cryptocurrency,” investing in high-risk currencies, and gambling. Since 2021, he has spent 1400 hours in the slots category, where he gambles on virtual one-armed bandits for large sums.

Trainwreck has been losing for 9 months – Now wins big jackpots

Now that was the bet: Trainwreck says he’s been gambling for 9 months and is down by an “unfathomable amount,” so has lost much more money gambling overall than he’s won. However, he did have a lucky streak on New Year’s Day. He won several jackpots, including one for $5.7 million – with a bet per spin of $1,000.

Trainwreck broke Twitch

However, the ruffle did not go very smoothly. There were 27,000 attendees trying to get in, and the Nightbot ad page was broken. Twitch couldn’t even keep track of the free gift chat logs that people could attend. Understandable, that so many people took part at the raffle, considering there was $1 million at stake.

With the stream, he also got a lot of attention and new subscribers. In total, about 70,000 people watched him and he got another 21,000 new subscribers. He now has 1.7 million subscribers on his Twitch channel. Although such a mega-win sounds like a real fairy tale and certainly many people dream of winning so much themselves, Tyler emphasized that he can only advise everyone against gambling so much and devoting themselves to gambling.

After all, one should not forget that he has already lost a lot of money – almost certainly in the millions. This means that he has basically only won what he lost in the months or years before.
