Trackmania Grand League World Cup 2022: Meet the competitors

From July 1-3, the largest LAN tournament in Trackmania 2020 history organized by NADEO itself will take place in Paris. The Grand League World Cup 2022 will feature a total of 16 drivers from different countries. 

A nice mix of veterans and young players will compete for victory in front of a live audience in the capital of France. While there is no clear favourite, many drivers can convince with good form. Here’s the introduction to all of the participants. 

Carl Jr.

Carl-Antoni “Carl Jr.” Cloutier is a Canadian Trackmania driver and drives for the French organization Solary. The 25-year-old is the reigning WorldCup Champion and also the record winner of all Trackmania drivers. Since 2012, the Canadian has won around 73,000 US dollars in prize money.

Massa

Dennis “Massa” Lotze is a driver for BIG Clan. The 27-year-old German has been driving for the German organization since 2018 and was able to qualify directly for the World Cup thanks to his two top 10 placements in the two past Grand Leagues. He is cast by the two Twitch streamers “TrilluXe” and “fELIXSAn”.

GranaDy

20-year-old Nico “GranaDy” Gyarmati is a driver for the German organization ALTERNATE aTTaX. He has been driving for aTTaX since the beginning of 2021. His biggest achievement so far was qualifying for the 2022 Grand League as a rookie. What is special about him is that he is the only driver in the field who drives with a steering wheel instead of the controller.

Pac

Thomas “Pac” Cole is an English driver for Team MnM Gaming. With around 42,000 US dollars in prize money, he is one of the most successful Trackmania drivers of all time. One of his greatest achievements was winning the 2016 Maniaplant World Cup.

Affi

Sebastien “Affi” Affolter is a 23-year-old Swiss who drives for the Swiss organization BDS Esport. As the reigning ZrT Cup champion, he is a favourite for the title in Paris.

Mudda

Mudda is the only non-European rider in the field. 27-year-old Patrick Radisich comes from Australia and is currently not signed to any organization. His biggest achievement was winning the Grand League Spring 2022.

Aurel

Aurelien “Aurel” Bouard is a French Trackmania driver and drives for the organization GamingPrive. In mid-2021 he celebrated his greatest success by winning the ZrT Cup.

Bren

Brendan “Bren” Seve is one of the crowd favorites in Trackmania. The 23-year-old Frenchman qualified for the World Cup with a third place in the Grand League. He also won a ZrT Cup in 2019.

Gwen

17-year-old Gwendal “Gwen” Duparc is considered the biggest talent in Trackmania. The Frenchman has been in the top class since 2018. With numerous victories in Grand Leagues and ZrT Cups, he is one of the most successful drivers with earnings reaching up to $21,000 in prize money.

Papou

Valerian “Papou” Ramamonjy is a 24-year-old Trackmania driver for the French organization Team GO. The Frenchman won the Twitch Rivals Showdown in 2020. He is one of 8 winners of the qualifier.

Binkss

Frenchman Alexandre “Binkss” Touche is also a World Cup qualifier. In May he qualified for the Grand League this fall. Binkss is currently driving for IziDream.

Kappa

Martin “Kappa” Krompolic is the only Czech rider in the field. He currently plays for the organization SINNERS Esports. His greatest achievement was winning the 2018 Trackmania World Championship.

mime

Hubert “mime” Dziedzic is a Polish Trackmania driver who drives for the English organization IntoTheBreach. The 19-year-old qualified for the Trackmania Grand League late last year. He finished his first season in the Oberhaus in 4th place. He also qualified for the World Cup.

Otaaaq

Youen “Otaaaq” Egler is a 17-year-old Frenchman. He is currently playing in the background with no organization. His greatest achievement was promotion to the Grand League at the end of last year.

tween

Marek “tween” Pacher plays for the organization orKs GP Numelops. The Slovakian veteran has been active in the pro field at Trackmania since 2011, but has yet to win a major title.

MiQuatro

The most inexperienced driver in the field is the Finn Mikael “MiQuatro” Jäppilä. In May of this year, the driver was able to qualify for the Grand League without any organization.
