As we all know, VALORANT is one of the most popular FPS games available today. This video game rewards players for their marksmanship and the way they make decisive decisions in a game. In addition, different strategies can be employed to get better results in a round.

In the professional VALORANT scene, many analysts, coaches, and players spend a lot of time studying their opponents to devise strategies for attacking and defending.

Amateur or amateur players, however, only consider a few factors at the time of their games. One of them is their ability to devise an excellent Anti-Echo round.

What is an Anti-Eco round?

Simply put, an Anti-Eco round refers to when the team wins the Pistol Round; they will buy better weapons, equipment, or skills in the next round.

Remember that the losing team in the first round of the games has less money, so it will tend to save. That is to say, it will be its eco-round.

On paper, an Anti-Eco round may seem very easy since a heavily armed team will face a team with only guns (in many cases, not always), but it can have frightening results if it is not handled in the best possible way.

Tips on how to devise a good Anti-Eco round

Make sure that everyone on the team buys weapons

After winning the first round, it is common for several players on a team to decide to continue with the exact pistol in the Anti-Eco round. This is because these players want to save up for an Operator or feel comfortable with the pistol.

This is definitely to be avoided. The opposing team will be in their save or echo round, so they will try to take one of the Sites altogether, and, with a single pistol, you will not be able to stop the attack.

Take duels with confidence

In FPS games, it is common for players to have good and bad days when aiming or shooting. But this can’t make you lose confidence, especially during Anti-Echo rounds.

It would help if you kept in mind that your weaponry is superior to that of your opponents, so you will have enough advantage to finish them off. Be confident in your abilities despite having a bad day, as taking one or two kills early in the round can give your team confidence and scare your opponents.

Check every corner

Remember that your opponents will be in an eco round, so they will try to hide to look for some chances to help them win a round they have very little chance of winning.

In Anti-Echo rounds, there is a high probability that one or more rival players will buy a shotgun, as they have a meager price in the store. As a result, these players will often hide in the corners, looking to end the life of one or more opponents.

An example is when Version1 lost an Anti-Eco round against two Crazy Raccoon shotguns in the Valorant Champions Tour Stage 2: Masters Reykjavik in 2021.

Do not overpeeking

At the beginning of Anti-Eco rounds, some players, for example, Entry Fraggers, may feel overconfident because they have more powerful weaponry than their opponents. This can lead to wrong moves, such as overpeeking.

By doing this, this player gives the opposing team a chance to win a duel. But conversely, by losing this duel, the opposing team will be able to take your weapon and beat the rest of the fights, leading to a failure in the Anti-Eco round.

Players must be highly disciplined in these scenarios. They should even be willing to give up parts of the map to the enemy team if they feel overwhelmed.
