For quite some time there have been rumors that 100 Thieves are rebuilding their VALORANT line-up and now the new line-up has finally been announced.

The team has been completely rebuilt except for one player and the coaching staff has also changed completely. Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk is the only member left from the 100 Thieves line-up that won first place at First Strike two years ago.

Team completely rebuilt

The start of this year’s VALORANT Champions Tour has been rather underwhelming and has led the 100 Thieves organization to make a decision regarding their lineup and restructure the team. Adam “ec1s” Eccles and Hunter “BabyJ” Schline were added to the line-up not too long ago, but just a few weeks later the adventure was over and the organization parted ways with them again. The team was completely dismissed except for Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk.

Then recently came the news that ex-CS:GO pro and captain of 100 Thieves Spencer “Hiko” Martin is retiring from competitive play. He was considered the face for the organization for a long time and thus ends a whole era for the 100 Thieves. Still, he won’t be leaving the organization completely, as he will continue to stream and create other content for the 100 Thieves. All in all, it’s been a lot of changes for the organization lately.

New players and coaches

The new team has been built around Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk. He is the only one left from the old lineup. The upcoming VCT phase will also feature Sean “bang” Bezerra, who actually plays for Built By Gamers but was loaned out to the 100 Thieves. Then there’s Brenden “stellar” McGrath, who comes from SoaR, and William “Will” Cheng, who used to play for Gen.

The last player in the bunch is Derrek Ha, who used to play for Rise. Ethan “Ethan” Arnold will no longer be in the lineup. There have also been some changes in the coaching staff, which now looks quite different. After the firing of former coach Jovanni “Jovi” Vera, the organization brought in Sean Gares as head coach.

Former Envy head coach Michael “Mikes” Hockom joined the team as an assistant coach and Daniel “ddk” Kapadia became the new GM. The new team will now have to train together and will probably participate in smaller events to test the waters.

Here is a summary of the new line-up:

  • Brenden “stellar” McGrath
  • Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk
  • Derrek Ha
  • William “Will” Cheng
  • Sean “bang” Bezerra
