Don’t let his humble demeanor fool you; malbsMD is a ruthless force to be reckoned with when he’s in his element. He is one of North America’s top CS2 prospects and a is shining beacon for eSports in his home country of Guatemala. With his recent move to G2, one of the biggest teams in esports, much attention has been drawn to him, his story, and his come-up as one of the best players to ever grace the sport.
malbsMD has played for a number of competitive teams in his career, with one of the most notable teams he’s played for being TeamOne. He had a great run with TeamOne, where he managed to make a name for himself locally before temporarily moving to 00NATION.
Things with 00NATION didn’t quite take off for him, so he made his return to TeamOne briefly before being acquired by M80, where he really proved himself. His star shone too bright, and as most people expected, a major offer from an international organization landed on his desk, and an offer from none other than G2.
Mario “malbsMD” Samayoa’s Backstory
Mario “malbsMD” Samayoa’s story begins in his home country, Guatemala, in a humble household in Guatemala City. He never initially had a passion for Counter-Strike; his first love was actually football, a sport he was fairly decent in. His dad was the one who introduced him to the game, as he was an avid player and saw potential in his son. As his dreams of playing football dwindled, his Counter-Strike ambitions grew bigger and bigger with every match won, leading up to him playing competitively in the Esports Entertainment Association League (ESEA).
MalbsMD had brief successful stints at two popular teams, namely Team Jaguar and Infinity Esports, but the real opportunity to prove his mettle came when he was offered a chance to play for Team ONE. While at Team ONE, MalbsMD was truly unplayable and quickly surpassed his peers, making him the team’s overall best player. He tried his hand at 00NATION with the intentions of turning it into a highly successful competitive team, but the team was disjointed, and so he returned to Team ONE.
His return to Team ONE was short lived though, as he was swooped up by M80, who had been keeping an eye on the player for quite a while now. Unsurprisingly, the move to M80 did not derail malbsMD, as he kept his foot on the gas and was supplying breathtaking performances consistently throughout the ESL Pro League Season 19. He maintained an awe-inspiring 1.28 rating in the ESL Pro League and managed to make the top 6 in the ESL rankings.
Bro smurfed the exam.

As MalbsMD continued to grow as a player, so did interest from international organizations, all culminating in his acquisition by G2 in recent months. His debut for G2 was at the recently concluded Esports World Cup, where he won his first game for them, a great sign of things to come. G2 made it to the finals but were unfortunately beaten by a formidable Navi side.
As of right now, we don’t know what the future may hold for MalbsMD, but one thing we’re certain of is that the best is yet to come.
