There are literally 30 rail lines in Mario Kart World, so if you’re a racing enthusiast, this list might be your dream. The courses have quite a bit of nostalgia tied to them, but there’s still plenty of new thrills packed in! Every track offers its own flavor, be it Rainbow Road on the spectacle side or Crown City for design. But rest assured, every track is going to offer unique gameplay that you can rush.
Overview of Mario Kart World Rail Lines
Mario Kart World has a huge lineup of rail lines, combining the previous games’ nostalgia while adding new, creative designs. From a grand total of 30 courses (32, including the variations of both Crown City and Peach Stadium), you’ll find a combination of 16 brand new courses and 14 courses from previous Mario Kart games. There is also loads of variety because of a cool day-night cycle that changes the atmosphere every 24 minutes. This cycle will make each race feel different visually.
The tracks in Mario Kart World are well-structured into eight Grand Prix Cups. Each Grand Prix Cup has four unique tracks that provide various challenges through different themes and obstacles. And, each Cup still features a selection of new and retro tracks! These Cups still have recognizable names, along with the more recent ones like Leaf and Lightning.
In addition to the standard Grand Prix, Mario Kart World also has a new Knockout Tour mode. It combines racing with survival, just like in the Super Smash Bros game type mechanics. And the coolest thing about this tour is how it works! It features six continuous courses where we have 24 racers racing at the same time. Then, they are getting eliminated at checkpoints after each section.
