The best support heroes of Dota 2 patch 7.32c

The changes introduced by Dota 2 patch 7.32c are starting to shape the meta and some heroes are more successful than others. Among support heroes, some have ridiculously high win rates.

It is often said that it’s hard to gain MMR in Dota by playing support. But many great players have demonstrated that it’s simply not the case. The only issue is that people don’t know how to support properly or don’t like to pick heroes that are naturally strong because of the meta.

We all feel much more comfortable picking what is familiar to us, regardless of how many nerfs our best heroes received. But that’s an obvious mistake. When your top heroes are at the bottom of the hierarchy in the current Dota 2 patch and you continue to pick them, that’s a sign that you are not versatile enough.

To increase your versatility, you must force yourself to pick something new, even if you risk losing. A solution to this problem is to play unranked matches until you’ve mastered a new hero and then start picking that hero in ranked ones. Good players do whatever it takes to get even better, even if it requires them to get out of their comfort zone.

Best Dota 2 supports in the current meta

Dota 2 patch 7.32c favors strong laning supports that can create a big networth advantage for their team in the first 10 minutes. Examples of such heroes are:

  • Omniknight
  • Undying
  • Jakiro
  • Mirana
  • Dazzle
  • Witch Doctor
  • Skywrath Mage
  • Enchantress
  • Shadow Shaman
  • Chen
  • Ancient Apparition
  • Lich

If your favorite support heroes are not on this list, you should consider becoming more versatile. Otherwise you’re missing out on excellent opportunities to gain easy MMR.

In particular, healing supports are really strong right now because they allow teams to trade more easily with the other side. If your carry needs to play scared at all times, that’s detrimental to his laning stage. Ideally, you should be a constant threat to the enemy offlaners, not the other way around.

If you haven’t played Witch Doctor in a while, you’ll be surprised to see just how much stronger he has become in the last few patches. His laning stage is strong thanks to Maledict and in the mid game, you can now easily cast your ultimate without being afraid that you’ll get killed immediately.

Other heroes on this list are just as strong and can play aggressively in lane, which is a huge advantage in Dota 2.
