The best loadout for 556 Icarus in Warzone 2

In Warzone 2, we have over 50 weapons that we can choose from to add specific equipment or attachments to them to get as many casualties as possible.

While there aren’t many options for light machine gun fans to enjoy in CoD: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, that doesn’t mean there aren’t some we can get excited about.

556 Icarus

The 556 Icarus is one of the light machine guns in MWII and Warzone 2. Therefore, it could be considered as the cousin of the M4; that is, they are from the same family. Well, if we notice its structure, we can realize that the iron sights and some accessories are the same as the M4. So, if you are a fan of the iconic AR, you will probably also love 556 Icarus.

According to Activision in the description of the 556 Icarus in the game, this weapon is:

“A lightweight squad support weapon on the M4 platform that offers increased ammunition capacity that does not significantly affect mobility. It’s a solid weapon on the platform that you’ll need to use to level up the full suite anyway.”

Regarding basic stats, the Icarus has better range, accuracy, and recoil control than the M4 but fails in damage and handling and suffers significantly in mobility. Of course, none of this makes sense when you consider that it’s an LMG and the M4 is an AR, but there’s no doubt that with this accessory setup, you’ll be able to leverage its disadvantages.

This accessory set leans on the LMG side of the weapon, almost maximizing its recoil control to help when holding the trigger for long periods while completely ignoring mobility and handling.

We highly recommend you use the 556 Icarus as your primary weapon for medium to long-range shooting and use the second slot or secondary weapon, an SMG such as a Vaznev-9k or a Fennec 45.

Perks to use with the 556 Icarus

The best perk you can use in Warzone 2 with the RPK is the Specter, which brings with it (Double Time, Tracker, Observer, and Ghost).

This is the most used perk pack in Warzone 2, which includes Double Time and Ghost, two of the most valuable perks in the game, so you can stay off the radar and move quickly.

Secondary equipment to use with the 556 Icarus

• Tactical: Stim or Flash.
• Lethal: Semtex Grenade or Throwing Knife.

You can choose between two tactical pieces of equipment, such as the Stim or the Flash since both are extremely powerful and will allow you to eliminate opponents.

On the other hand, when selecting lethal equipment, you must choose between the explosion in the Semtex or precision in the throwing knife to eliminate downed enemies without having to spend a single bullet.
