On April 2nd and 3rd, the first major zero-build tournaments in Fortnite were hosted by Twitch Rivals and it was a huge success. Among the winners were several well-known names from the streamer and pro scene, with Tfue, Scoped and Cloakzy topping the top ten and securing the most prize money.

Zero Build mode creates buzz

Fans and players love the Zero Build mode in Fortnite, and it’s such a breath of fresh air that many people who had turned away from Fortnite have returned to the game. The Twitch Rivals tournament has clearly confirmed that Zero Build mode is a real hit. On the weekend plenty of stars and starlets from the streaming scene came together to give it their all in the game and take home the prize money.

Tfue, Cloakzy & Scoped prevail over NICKMERCS & Co

Tfue, along with his teammates Cloakzy and Scoped from Team Liquid, won the Fortnite event and cleared most of the prize money. Many fans were surprised to see how the three of them managed to beat NICKMERCS, Ninja and Hiko, but they did it and created a lot of excitement. Here for you are the top 10 teams of the tournament and their share of the prize money – there was 100k to be won in total.

Similar events are already planned

There were also other players such as xQc, TenZ, Legiqn or Pokelawls, but not all of them made it to the top of the event. This Fortnite event was just a precursor to the $100,000 finals that will take place later in May. In this event, several well-known content creators around Fortnite will host their own “Creator Series” tournaments to give all participants a chance at glory. Because the tournament was such a huge success, we’ll probably see more events like this in this category in the future.
