Ready to take over the Convergence in TFT? Since the release of Set 13, players have been pretty eager to test out and discover what dynamics will make those traits go wild. Traits are what glue loose, seemingly unconnected pieces of champions into an overwhelming force, like pieces of a puzzle. Let’s examine the complete breakdown of all traits in Set 13 where Class and Origin traits pairing will create countless possibilities for your perfect team composition.
Complete List of Traits in Set 13
Set 13 categorizes traits into two categories: Class Traits and Origin Traits. There are distinct bonuses each trait offers that strengthen the champions and their interactions during battle. Class traits give a clear definition of what roles your champions would be in and how they would function within your team. Origin traits are those background or faction traits of the champions, providing unique bonuses when a set of champions is on the board.
Class Traits
- Ambusher
Ambusher make champions deal critical strikes, increasing the damage quite a bit. The progression rewards players with having more and more Ambushers, bringing bonuses from 20% Critical Chance and 10% Critical Multiplier at two champions to as high as 55% Crit Chance and 35% Crit Multiplier at five champions. Once reaching the maximum tier, Ambushers get 15% durability.
- Artillerist
Champions with the Artillerist traits deal huge area damage with each fifth attack, firing a rocket that deals 125% area damage to enemies. At two champions, the trait deals 10% Attack Damage, scaling up to a whopping 50% AD, and shoots a rocket every 5 attacks dealing double damage at six champions.
- Bruiser
The team receives 100 max Health but more so with the Bruisers. This gives champions additional health bonuses that scale with the number of Bruisers deployed; at two champions, they receive a large health boost amounting to 20% Health. At six champions, it scales up to 70% Health.
- Dominator
At the start of each fight, Dominators receive a shield for 15 seconds that can absorb damage and increase their chances of survival in combat. In addition, while Dominators cast their abilities, the effect will be added up in Ability Power, scaling damage well during the late game. While using the full synergy of six Dominators, they can go as high as 800 Shield and increase Ability Power up to 75%, making them very powerful in sustaining damage as well as inflicting it in fights.
- Form Swapper
Champions featuring the Form Swapper will be able to change their stats and abilities depending on where they position themselves on the battlefield. In case they are placed on the frontline, then Damage Reduction will go up to 30%, but if they are moved to the backline, champions gain a Damage Amplification effect and can receive even 40% DA.
- Pit Fighter
Pit Fighters gain a huge 15% Omnivamp, meaning they recover health based on the damage they deal while increasing their survivability within fights as well as adding bonus true damage to make them work pretty well against exceptionally heavily armored opponents. One other feature of this trait is his healing mechanism: a Pit Fighter heals to an enormous percentage of his maximum health whenever he falls to 50% health in combat, over the course of 2 seconds. With a full synergy of eight units, Pit Fighters can heal up for as much as 99% of their max health and do up to 50% bonus true damage.
- Quickstriker
Quickstrikers really shine at dishing out quick damage bursts with the amplified Attack Speed, as well as scaling damage output proportionate to enemy health. So, when hitting enemy units that are low on health, they also increase their Attack Speed to quickly kill weak targets before they get a chance to retaliate.
- Sentinel
They offer bonuses of Armor and Magic Resist that will make survivability for the team in overall engagements higher. If two Sentinels are deployed, then allies get a 10 Armor and Magic Resist, scaling up with six deployed Sentinels at 50 Armor and MR.
- Sniper
Snipers are ranged champions that deal great damage from a distance while keeping themselves safe from frontline threats. With every increase in the number of Snipers in the build, their range, as well as attack damage increases with a maximum of 35% damage per hex and +5 attack range at 6 Snipers.
- Sorcerer
Sorcerers lead the charge by adding bonus Ability Power (AP) for spellcasters in their team. When two Sorcerers are present, champions gain 20 additional AP; the scales go quite high, up to 100 AP, while Abilities decrease their target’s damage by 25% for 3 seconds at maximum.
- Visionary
Whenever a Visionary gains Mana, they gain an extra bonus, effectively doubling it up at maximum synergy. This trait not only enables them to cast their abilities more quickly but also grants a healing effect: at eight units when Visionaries cast their abilities, they heal an ally for 20% of the damage caused, increasing Mana gain by 100%.
- Watcher
Watchers will receive an increase in damage reduction further if their health is in a better status. Specifically, durability will be improved if health is more than 50%. The increase in this way would allow watchers to stay longer in battles as, with the full synergy of six units, they could even reach up to 60% damage reduction.
Origin Traits
- Academy
The Academy trait introduces a special mechanic around sponsored items, enhancing the survivability and damage output of all champions. When people deploy academy champions on the field, they get sponsored items that offer extra max Health and Damage Amplification; the value increases exponentially based on the number of academy champions, peaking at six for an 8% health bonus and maximum number of sponsored items.
- Automata
Each time an Automata unit hits the enemy, it gets a crystal, and when it gathers 20 crystals, it blasts the enemy target with a large amount of magic damage plus 20% of prior damage dealt. This trait also gives Automata units more armor and Magic Resist, resulting in greater strength.
- Black Rose
The Black Rose trait involves summoning Sion, a great ally empowered by the accumulated power of all champions of the Black Rose. With every unit of Black Rose summoned, that unit will help increase Sion’s star level, enhancing ability and power from Sion in battle. After five casts from Black Rose units or when Sion falls below 65% health, he will break loose to unleash devastating attacks on enemies. At a higher level of synergy, Sion would become not only stronger but also capable of healing up completely once released and even be revivable upon death.
- Chem-Baron
The Chem-Baron trait incentivizes the player to risk more during a game as it will lead to a stacking of Shimmer after every combat with a player. Players will receive stacks of Shimmer on a loss streak of more than three rounds, meaning that players can attain Black Market access for the powerful contraband items exclusive to Chem-Barons. As Shimmers keep piling, the player will receive max Health benefits every time they visit the Black Market.
- Conqueror
The Conqueror trait emphasizes takedowns as an ongoing source of strength. For every takedown, the player earns stacks of Conquest, which can then be redeemed for War Chests filled with precious loot. Conquerors receive increased Attack Damage and Ability Power as they start earning stacks of Conquest, with significant boosts at higher synergy tiers.
- Emissary
The Emissary trait is only activated when a player has either one or four unique Emissaries in the game. When a player has one, they receive that unique bonus granted by that champion, and when they have four, all of the bonuses granted by each Emissary are received, which greatly boosts the strength of the team. If four are all being used, collectively they gain 300 Health and 30% increase to damage.
- Enforcer
Upon entering combat, Enforcers receive shields and damage amplification while marking the highest Health enemy units as WANTED! Should these targeted enemies be defeated, Enforcers receive further Attack Speed boosts.
- Experiment
The Experiment feature adds Laboratory hexes that buff champions standing on them at the start of combat. Each unit of Experiments that stands on those hexes is granted bonuses based on the amount of Laboratory hexes that are occupied, increasing their max Health and experiment bonuses.
- Family
Family trait rewards synergy between connected champions by reducing the max mana of each champion, but it also comes with additional bonuses for each present family member on the board. Three family members reduce a 25% max mana with a 12% damage reduction. When you add more family members, the benefits become stronger and come with increased attack speed as well as unique heist mechanics which reward surviving family members after combat.
- Firelight
The Firelight gives champions a movement and healing effect every six seconds by dashing. They attack with infinite range while dashing and then heal based on a percentage of the damage they have taken since their last dash; the healing effect goes up depending on how many firelights are on the board. At four units, gain a massive burst of Attack Speed while dashing.
- High-Roller
The High-Roller trait revolves around Sevika’s ability to roll random Jinx modifiers applied to her abilities whenever she casts spells. A roll might result in all sorts of effects, including extra damage or even shields to herself or any allies she casts the spell on.
- Junker King
It is a pretty cool trait that rewards persistent play and brings the benefits of long-term advantages in a swing of tides. The Junker King trait allows permanent upgrades by buying equipment from the armory every three rounds for the strongest Rumble’s mech unit.
- Rebel
When Rebels get hit for 30% of their health, they will receive a smoke signal giving boosts to Attack Speed to 60% for four seconds along with extra power for the rest of the battle. Adding the 10 Rebels on board will activate its smoke signal at the beginning of combat and after every six seconds.
- Scrap
At the start of the battle, components of the Scrap units will convert into full items and shields depending on the number of components your team holds. With maximum synergy levels, all of the components will be converted into full items and lucky to radiant items along with shields for the champions.
