While this ranked ladder mainly requires the mighty minds of tacticians, some TFT team compositions are just perfect for strategizing and climbing the Neoset Ladder, along with a few tips and tricks.

We’re giving you the ultimate guide to climbing the Revival Ranked Ladder with five effective team comps!

Before we dive into the comps, remember that the Ranked Revival Ladder is different from the usual ranking system. With this in mind, let’s now explore the comps that can propel you to the top.

Teamfight Tactics, true to its name, is all about strategies and positioning. In the game, players have to make wise decisions in econ management, positions, rolls, items, and others. However, a good chunk of what determines the outcomes of matches rely on one’s little champions and team compositions. This set, players looking to increase their Revival Ladder rankings can turn to the following team compositions for better chances.

8 Redeemed: Striking The Offense-Defense Balance

Core units: Varus, Leona, Vel’Koz

Strategy: Stack Redeemed units for a balance of offense and defense. Vel’Koz is your main carry with Varus acting as a secondary damage dealer. Leona will meanwhile provide crucial frontline tankiness.

Tips: Guinsoo’s Rageblade and Jeweled Gauntlet will be highly preferred for Vel’Koz, Prioritize defensive items on Leona.

Abomination Vel’Koz: Dealing Enormous Destructive Output

Core units: Brand, Kalista, Vel’Koz, Ryze

Strategy: Combine the Abomination trait’s golem with Vel’Koz’ devastating area damage. The golem acts as a powerful frontline while Vel’Koz decimates from the backline.

Tips: Stack AP items on Vel’Koz. Remember to put some items on your Abomination units to boost the golem’s power.

Hero Pyke Carry: Destroying Enemy Backlines

Core units: Pyke, Thresh, Nautilus

Strategy: This reroll comp focuses on getting a 3-star Pyke. Use Forgotten and Assassin traits to boost Pyke’s damage and survivability.

Tips: Aim for items like Infinity Edge and Bloodthirster on Pyke. Patience is key! Manage econ as well to consistently hit Pyke 3-star.

8 Dawnbringer: Outsurviving in Prolonged Fights

Core units: Karma, Riven, Garen, Soraka

Strategy: Utilize the Dawnbringer trait’s healing power to outlast opponents. In this comp, Karma is your main carry, with Riven as a secondary carry and frontline.

Tips: Build AP items on Karma, then attack damage and tank items for Riven. You’ll want a Dawnbringer emblem to hit the 8 Dawnbringer trait bonus.

Yasuo Reroll: Brewing Strong Whirlwinds

Core units: Yasuo, Irelia, Lee Sin

Strategy: This comp will be building around a 3-star Yasuo using Nightbringer and Legionnaire traits. With 3-starred with the right items, Yasuo can become unstoppable!

Tips: Prioritize items like Infinity Edge, Bloodthirster, and Last Whisper on Yasuo. Additional CC and frontline presence will come from Irelia and Lee Sin.

  1. Adapt your comp: In TFT, flexibility is key. These are strong compositions, but when the game isn’t offering the right units, do not force them and be ready to pivot. Work with what you are given and try to make the best out of it. Sometimes, a well-timed switch to a different composition can turn the tides of a losing game and even lead to victory.
  2. Learn different econ management: These team comps have different types, so it’s important to learn the economy management required by each type. For example, reroll comps like Yasuo and Pyke will require you to stay at lower levels and roll aggressively for 3-star units. For Abom Vel’Koz and 8 Dawnbringer, leveling to 8 or 9 should be the focus to field more powerful units. Additionally, the Dawnbringer comp often needs a Dawnbringer emblem, so save gold for rolling at higher levels.
  3. Choose skills wisely: As you climb the ladder with these comps, choose skills that complement them. For instance, if you play reroll comps more often, you may prefer to choose skills like “Star Seeker”. For level-focused comps, on the other hand, “Fast Nine” or “Race to Ten” would be great choices.
