Team Spirit unveils its first-ever Dota 2 Academy roster as part of a process within its participants’ long-term approach to development. Team Spirit has already proven itself to be an elite-performing organization in the international Dota 2 competitive landscape and is now looking to invest more directly in formalized pathways for talent development that can contribute to future roster builds more methodically.

The newly established academy team consists of developing players who have demonstrated strong promise in several regional competitions, but still have room for growth in coordination and competitive experience, and play together on-stage. The academy roster consists of:
- Vladislav ‘rubikon155’ Gaideu
- Arsentii ’86’ Babiuk
- Rusline ‘SunshineRR’ Lakhonia
- Aidar ‘Aidar’ Nurgalin
- Danil ‘Kyford’ Gorbachev
These players will continue to train and compete under the Team Spirit name, with the intention of developing their skills toward a position to compete in tier one professional Dota 2 play. This will not be a quick and easy process, but instead will aim to maintain a stable environment for growth and/or development, rather than rush their experience and development.
Coaching and Support Team

Team Spirit has employed a dedicated support team to lead the academy project.
- Coach – Danil ‘MeTTpuM’ Gilev
- Manager – Semyon ‘Paradise’ Volkov
- Analysts – Bakuri ‘baki_1014’ Mortshulava
This support team will oversee training systems, performance reviews, and practice gameplay. They will aim to ensure the academy players observe a similar professional standard, the same as the main roster coaching staff. Of course, any adjustment will come with some form of transitional learning curve.
Strategic Intent

Team Spirit’s decision to launch a Dota 2 academy aligns with its growing development system that they already have in place for other esports titles. According to the organization, starting an academy team/players for Dota 2 seemed like a natural step when you consider the history and success in that title. The academy will serve as a talent pipeline, focusing on structured growth while minimising uncertainty during future roster modifications or performance changes.

Competitive outlook
The academy lineup will soon begin competing in regional events and online leagues, which will give the players valuable competitive experience in a high-pressure situation. Their robust development might also have eyes on them to gauge if they are ready to compete at a higher level with more opportunity for promotion into the main roster. For Team Spirit, this is a long-term play with the end goal to maintain vigilance for competitive continuity and the next generation of professional Dota 2 talent.
