Following the announcement of the first official Riot Games Valorant tournament, First Strike, it was anticipated that a host of organizations would look to enter the scene. Team Empire is the latest to get in on the act, having recently completed its roster. The team has already started practicing ahead of entering the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) branch of the event.

How Does the Team Empire Valorant Roster Look?

The Team Empire Valorant roster will be made up of talent from across the CIS and Europe, with Denis “m0z” Kanukov, Vadim “Tian” Filkin, Artem “DieZzz” Lipatov, Semyon “Purp0” Borchev and Andrew “BRAVEAFb0Y” Gorchakov. Meanwhile, the team will be led by coach Slozhenikin “Ups” Artyom and general manager Kravchenko “Krava” Milena.

Team Empire is arguably Russia’s biggest and best known eSports organizations, having been founded in 2004. Their main headquarters are found in the Russian capital of Moscow, with the popularity of eSports in the country having grown significantly of late. Empire are best known for their competitiveness in Rainbow Six Siege competitions, however they are also involved in the Dota 2, Starcraft II, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, CS:GO and League of Legends scenes.

When Can We Expect to See Team Empire Valorant in Action?

The organization is now one of many hoping to make an impact in Valorant, with the first person shooter game from Riot having attracted a great deal of interest since its launch earlier this year. Team Empire are set to feature for the first time at the First Strike event in December. Regional qualifiers for the tournament will get underway later this month, with all players aged 16 or over with at least an Immortal 1 rank being eligible to compete.
First Strike will then hold multiple regional championships from December 3 to December 6, where teams from North America, Europe, Turkey, Asia, Oceania, Brazil, the Middle East and CIS will take part. Riot are expected to announce additional details surrounding the format of the event and live streaming in the near future.
