Thai organization Talon Esports and Japanese organization Zeta Division have unveiled their VALORANT roster for the upcoming 2023 VCT Season.

For the upcoming APAC international league, Talon Esports has added the former core of XERXIA Thanamethk “Crws” Mahatthananuyut, Panyawat “sushiboys,” and Itthirit “foxz” Ngamsaard to its Valorant lineup. The organization has also added former Overwatch superstar Patiphan “Patiphan” Chaiwong, who announced is coming out of retirement to reunite with his former X10 Esports teammates.

Patiphan left Overwatch in 2020 to concentrate on a professional career in Valorant, but he later returned as a member of the Los Angeles Gladiators in the Overwatch League. The former Overwatch player has finally returned to Valorant, though, as the APCA region achieves new heights of professional Valorant success and gains more exposure on the global stage. The addition of Apiwat “garnetS” Apiraksukumal and Jittana “JitboyS” Nokngam, who both made an impression during their time with X10 Esports and, separately, FW Esports, completes the decorated lineup of Talon. It was previously believed that Talon Esports would retain a section of their Filipino-Korean team, but in the end, the company decided to go with an all-Thai squad to eliminate communication barriers.

ZETA DIVISION unveils its Valorant roster ahead of VCT 2023

Zeta has made locked in its Valornat roster as it prepares for VCT 2023, retaining its core members, including in-game leader Laz, Dep, TENNN, crow, and SugarZ3ro. Coaches Sawada “JUNiOR” Yuya and Hibiki “XQQ” Motoyama, two legendary members of ZETA DIVISION who have been responsible for the team’s success since 2020, will remain in their positions.

ZETA DIVISION roster for VCT 2023

  • Yuma “Dep” Hashimoto
  • Koji “Laz” Ushida
  • Tomoaki “crow” Maruoka
  • Shota “SugarZ3ro” Watanabe
  • Tenta “TENNN” Asai
  • Ryo “barce” Takebayashi

The roster’s oldest members are Crow and Laz, who joined shortly after ZETA entered Valorant in 2020. In December 2021, ZETA DIVISION acquired SugarZ3ro and TENN from Northception after a year of shuffles and disappointing results. The sixth player for ZETA in the next VCT 2023 is Ryo “barce” Takebayashi, who has now returned to the Japanese Organisation after a year. He initially joined the organization’s professional Valorant roster in 202o, but a year later he switched to streaming and was then moved to the Detonation Gaming White squad.

Barce generally carried out the duties of a controller while he was a member of Detonation Gaming, but he can also take a flex role to suit his position on the squad. However, both teams will make their first official debuts in the VCT 2023 Kickoff Tournament, which will feature a thrilling matchup between 30 partnered teams across the three leagues.
