  • The signing marks a new era for T1’s bot lane, replacing long-time star Gumayusi to focus on future growth.

In a major change for the 2026 LCK season, T1 has officially signed Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan as their new AD Carry (bot laner), who replaced three-time World Champion Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong. Peyz is under contract until 2028, which shows T1’s commitment to the young talent as part of a long-term strategy. This news surprised the LoL community, and fans are wondering how Peyz T1 2026 journey will roll out.

Departure of Gumayusi From T1

Gumayusi’s journey was legendary in the world of League of Legends. He was top of his game, being a three-time world champion and world’s best ADC. Unfortunately, after 7 years, Gumayusi’s departure from T1 marks the end of an era.

Since Gumayusi left the team, T1 now remains with only three members from the original lineup. However, fans don’t need to worry as T1 brings in Peyz, a rising star who may also contribute to T1’s success

At just 19 years old, Peyz is already well-established in the competitive League of Legends scene. He started his pro-player journey in the Gen.G Academy, and then he eventually joined their main lineup. During his time with Gen.G, he won multiple LCK titles and was part of their MSI 2024 championship team.

However in 2025, Peyz moved to JD Gaming in China’s LPL. Although the team faced a lot of challenges, Peyz was able to prove himself and remained one of their most consistent carries. As he returns to South Korea and joins  T1, Peyz will become part of one of the game’s most biggest organizations.

A Long-Term Deal For Peyz

While the confirmation a few days earlier sparked rumors about whether Peyz had signed with T1 for 2026, fans were shocked to learn that his contract actually runs until 2028 — making it a multi-year commitment from T1. Through giving him a long-term deal, T1 shows their belief in his talent and their plan to build a core ADC-support pairing for several seasons.

In his announcement, Peyz expressed his excitement about joining T1 and starting “a new chapter” with his new teammates. Essentially, he is set to be in a bot-lane duo with star player, Keria, as his aggressive playstyle fits the veteran player
