T1 beat Kwangdong Freecs in the 2022 LCK Spring Split today, breaking another record. T1 became the first team in the South Korean league to reach a 15 game winning streak after matching their 2015 record.

Lee “Faker” Sang Hyeok, widely regarded as the greatest League of Legends player of all time, continues to solidify his place at the top of his game as he and his three-time World Championship team T1 set and break records early in the 2022 season.

Faker, along with top laner Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, jungler Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon, AD carry Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, and support Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, took their 15th win of the season after defeating Freecs.

T1 will try to go undefeated this season, a big opportunity for T1 to set a first-ever undefeated record.

SKT T1 went 17-1 in the league seven years ago, losing only one game to CJ Entus. This year, T1 might go undefeated in the regular season looking at their current form. Going undefeated in one of the most competitive leagues of the world would add more glory and fame to the already decorated T1. So, all eyes on T1 and faker, no team has ever claimed such accomplishment In the LCK.

T1 seems unstoppable this season and the team is destroying esports giants one by one. After looking at the team’s form this year, it’s safe to say T1 is the top contender of the title and there is a high chance of T1 achieving the “Undefeated” title as well.

T1 will go against Fredit BRION on Sunday in their next match. They only have three series left to achieve the split’s first-ever undefeated record.

T1 and Faker making and breaking records in 2022.

Faker and his team matched the victory streak record that he helped set seven years ago in 2015, when the franchise was still known as SKT, after a match against KT Rolster on Sunday, March 6.

Faker set another record in the match versus Gen.G on Thursday 3 March, this time with his 2,500th kill on his iconic Le Blanc pick. In February, Faker achieved the 1,000-game mark in his career. He was the second player to reach the 1,000 games mark, following DRX’s Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, who was the first.

That’s not it, Faker used Tryndamere in a match versus DRX in January, marking him the 70th champion he has used in the LCK and the 74th overall in his career.

Tryndamere, Olaf, Poppy, and Vex are Faker’s four professional champions, but Faker is well-known for his mastery of Azir, Orianna, and, in particular, LeBlanc. He was also seen playing other champions as well such as Darius, Kayle, Quinn, and Lux, but they were not picked again after his defeat with them.

This Spring split, it’s not just Faker who’s breaking records. In a match against Nongshim RedForce last month, Keria, T1’s support player, reached 2000 assists in his career. With all the records that T1 are setting, this could be the year that Faker and his team take back the Summoner’s Cup
