fragster Stalingrad 12. October 2024

The Red Bull Home Ground #5 APAC play-in is fast approaching this coming October 20 to 21, and the five invited teams as well as the Japan qualifiers winning team are doing some final touches with their preparations.

As for T1, they were actively working on their long term goal of making a full-korean Valorant Esports Team. They are another step closer to that goal now that the 23 year old former Gen.G player “Sylvan” signs a contract with their team.

After staying in China for a while and playing for Top Esports and most notably, Gen.G, Sylvan now joins forces with T1 and will already be participating in the Red Bull Home Ground APAC Play-ins’.

This is the chosen approach of T1 in order to create their ideal team that could compete with the rising powerhouses like Sin Prisa Gaming. Fans speculate that there might be another roster change/sign-up update from T1 that will complete their “full-korean” esports team.

As of now, with Sylvan joining the team, T1’s line up for their upcoming qualifiers tournament are:

  • Carpe
  • iZu
  • xccurate
  • stax
  • Sylvan

Only xccurate, an Indonesian professional player, is the remaining non Korean player of T1. He is listed as part of the participating members for the Red Bull Home Ground APAC play-ins along with the freshly signed Sylvan, but that doesn’t stop the theories about him getting replaced soon.

As an offseason tournament, the Red Bull Home Ground #5 will be a good place to try out newfound forms of power that these Valorant Esports teams obtained. It will not only be a good opportunity to adapt to the changes but also to find out if those changes are truly going to lead to a bright future for the team as a whole.

Sylvan is quite a famous player that managed to achieve great feats and made a name for himself with his previous teams. He played well quite consistently in an environment that is different from his natural settings—which makes the news of him being signed by T1 all the more exciting. We will be sure to not miss the chance to witness how differently he can play with a team that is almost all Korean.
