Street Fighter 6 – Terry Bogard Gameplay Reveal

The infamous “Hungry Wolf” Terry Bogard makes his grand debut as the latest guest character to be revealed for Street Fighter 6. On the 24th of September 2024, the red jacket-wearing all-American protagonist of the Fatal Fury series will make his debut with his own iconic move set and custom stage.

Although making his debut in Street Fighter 1’s opening scene as the guy who punches through the wall, the character never officially made it to the Street Fighter roster until now. The reveal trailer for this beloved character is brimming with Easter eggs and is a treat for devoted fans who were able to catch them all.

The gameplay trailer from Capcom gave us a whole lot of new details about the character in regards to his gameplay and move set. Terry will feature in all three game modes: Fighter Ground, Battle Hub, and World Tour’s Metro City as a master.

The trailer kicks things off with an Easter egg that harkens back to Street Fighter 2’s iconic title screen with a 1:1 re-enactment of two guys brawling in the middle of a busy street. Next, we see Terry arrive in a taxi, which is another nod to his first appearance in Street Fighter 1.

The character then makes his way to the new Pao Pao Café, an iconic stage that appears in the Fatal Fury and King of Fighters series. Here is where the showcase truly begins as Terry Bogard flaunts his move set in spectacular fashion.

With some of Terry’s moves being transferred directly from the Fatal Fury series, fans can expect familiar movements from the character. His moves list features moves such as:

Passing Sway: This move involves Terry jumping into the background and reappearing on the other side of his enemy with a Jumping Lariat or Knee, taken directly from Fatal Fury.

Power Wave: A ground attack that unleashes a fireball projectile from light, medium, and heavy attacks that packs a powerful punch. This is one of Terry’s iconic moves.

Burn Knuckle: This is a one-two punch meant to catch opponents by surprise and is initiated with a tatsu motion and a light, medium, or heavy punch.

Buster Wolf: His Level 1 Super Art that involves him charging with a piercing thrust that sets off a blast of energy.

Power Geyser: Terry’s Level 2 Super Art involves a volcanic explosion that pushes opponents away. The attack can be compounded and chained together, exhausting drive gauge bars, leading to Terry unleashing his iconic Triple Geyser.

Rising Fang: Terry’s Level 3 Super Art is a showcase that features his iconic moves culminating in a powerful final blast.

Terry Bogard will be available to play in all three game modes of Street Fighter 6 on September 24, 2024.
