Combo Breaker is like the Super Bowl, for fans of fighting games. It’s a yearly event that features the world’s top players throwing.
It was a three day gaming festival held May 24 – 26, 2024 at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Chicago.
It’s not all about the fights though! Other attractions include an artist alley, vendors and community events, among other things. It’s basically a giant gaming party for everyone!
Format
Combo Breaker 2024 is a double elimination tournament. That means everyone is fresh and fights their way up.
But if you lose, don’t get paranoid! You get a second chance in the losers bracket. But if you mess up again – you are out. Almost like having a safety net, but you have gotta play your cards right to reach the last round!
Top 8 Combo Breaker 2024 Recap
Let’s give it up for ElChakotay to be the ultimate winner! They absolutely blew away the competition. They were followed by NoahTheProdigy and Dual Kevin, who also put some serious talent on display.
The rest of the top eight was packed with talent – JAK, Shine, ZachInABox, Ramsey and Ajax Fidelity. These guys are the very best!
Prize Pool
The Combo Breaker prize pool was no joke. The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow was hefty as thousands of players fought for glory.

Combo Breaker 2024: A Champion is Crowned
ElChakotay dominated Combo Breaker 2024, taking the top spot after a duel with some of the world’s best Street Fighter players.
It was a great tournament with some amazing combos and competitive matches. The competition was fierce, but ElChakotay’s skill and determination ultimately won out.
NoahTheProdigy finished second and Dual Kevin finished third. The other top eight included JAK, Shine, ZachInABox, Ramsey and Ajax Fidelity. These players are the cream of the fighting game crop.
