Popular VALORANT streamer and content creator Coby “dizzy” Meadows made his long awaited return this week, having been absent for a period of sixth months following the death of friend Byron “Reckful” Bernstein.

Dizzy is a former CS:GO professional, having also competed in the Apex Legends scene. However, following the passing of his close friend Reckful, the American explained that he has spend recent months “slowly recovering” from the loss. Speaking upon his return, dizzy released the following statement:

“It’s been a while. First of all, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am okay and that I appreciate every single individual who has reached out to me. I’ve been taking a long break from streaking to help my better self. When I suddenly stopped streaming I felt lost. I felt like I wasn’t performing and felt like I just let everyone down with my constant breaks and inconsistent play. I felt like I had just burnt myself out.”

What Can We Expect from Dizzy Upon His Return?

However, dizzy has unveiled that he will now stream three times per week, on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s. The youngster will not focus upon VALORANT as his main title, with the first-person shooter having become hugely popular at the end of 2020 and the opening weeks of this year. Upon speaking on Twitter, dizzy took to Twitch for the first time in six months, where he has 789,000 followers.

Brandom “aceu” Winn, dizzy’s former NRG teammate was quick to offer his support, while the official Apex Legends account followed suit. It appears unlikely that dizzy will pursue another venture in professional gaming, having retired back in December 2019. Since then, dizzy has amassed a significant following on both Twitch and YouTube.

How Dizzy Became a Leading Name in VALORANT Streaming

Dizzy made the switch to VALORANT upon the games’ release in the summer of 2020, having done so alongside aceu. His return to streaming attracted over 200,000 views, including 7,000 who tuned in live. Those looking to check dizzy out can do so at 4pm eastern time every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
