Between January 20, 2025, and April 6, 2025, we organized the Fragster Challenger Series in cooperation with Betswap. This tournament was carried out entirely on behalf of Betswap, with Fragster acting solely as a service provider responsible for the execution and tournament operations.
Unfortunately, despite fulfilling our obligations and successfully delivering the event, Betswap has failed to pay us for our services. It is important for us to stress once again:
Fragster was never the tournament sponsor or financial guarantor. Our role was limited to organizing and running the event under Betswap’s brand and responsibility.
We fully understand the frustration this situation causes for all parties involved – from the teams and players to our own staff. We are currently doing everything possible to seek a constructive solution. However, the reality is that Betswap has run into serious financial difficulties, which is the root of this issue. Fragster has no influence over their financial obligations, and yet we have tried to mediate in order to find an acceptable path forward.
For the teams, this is understandably a disappointing outcome, as they now expect prize money that was contractually promised by Betswap. While we empathize with their position, we must underline that Fragster cannot be held responsible for these payments. We were not the sponsor, nor did we commit to funding the prize pool. Nevertheless, we initially took it upon ourselves to explore potential solutions, as we care deeply about the community and the integrity of competition.
That said, we are alarmed by recent developments: some teams have started to pressure and even threaten us with public exposure on social media platforms such as Twitter. While everyone is free to share their perspective, this type of blackmail only undermines the possibility of mediation and destroys any goodwill left in the process.
To be absolutely clear: Fragster cannot and will not assume the financial liabilities of Betswap. Demanding that we personally cover prize pools we were never responsible for is neither fair nor realistic. Our commitment remains to transparency and fairness, but there is a clear boundary between accountability for our services and liability for a third party’s financial collapse.
We remain open to dialogue and continue to encourage constructive communication. However, this issue can only be resolved by addressing Betswap’s financial responsibilities – not by shifting them onto Fragster.
Anyone is welcome to contact me directly at [email protected] so that we can work together on finding a solution. However, please refrain from involving people who were not part of this project. Likewise, threats or attempts at pressure will only achieve the opposite of what you intend.
