Wizards of the Coast has signed a deal with Giant Skull, the new development studio of Star Wars Jedi director Stig Asmussen: the former will publish a new Dungeons and Dragons game from the latter.
This was reported on VentureBeat. No concrete details about the game are available yet, except that it will be a single-player action-adventure game currently in development for PC and consoles. Asmussen left Respawn Entertainment in 2023 and previously worked on the God of War games at Sony.
There are more games set in the Dungeons and Dragons universe in development, which is not surprising given the success of Baldur’s Gate 3. Starbreeze is working on a multiplayer game, Gameloft on a co-op survival game, and Invoke Studios on an action-adventure game.
