Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds brings a unique and exciting play experience based around its “CrossWorld” feature. During races, racers will see “Travel Rings,” large portals that will transport them to completely different tracks called CrossWorlds. This means racers can transition to 15 different locations in the race. Moreover, races are three laps long, with lap 1 being the original track, and lap 2 using a CrossWorld selected by the leading racer. Meanwhile, lap 3 uses the original track with modified layouts using new shortcuts and moving obstacles called “frenzy” modifiers.

Now outdoing customization, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds includes more than 40 vehicles combined with an extensive number of parts. These include gadgets and decals, which amount to more than 70 gadgets and over 100 customization options. Thus, players can fully customize and tune their own racing machine.

The new Gadgets system allows them to give players passive boosts like more power-up acquisitions or higher starting speed. Furthermore, there’s a total of six gadget slots that can be used. With that, players can combine parts and abilities of vehicles to create performance and style.
