It did not take long for Jung woo “Sayaplayer” Ha to find a new home following his exit from the Overwatch scene, with the South Korean having signed for T1 Valorant just a day after his release from the Florida Mayhem. The 22-year-old is the latest in a long line of Overwatch professionals to make the switch to Valorant, where he will be known as “Spyder”.

Sayaplayer to Be Known as Spyder in Valorant

Spyder is the latest addition to the T1 Valorant roster, with Sam “DaZeD” Marine having arrived at the organization on October 12, the same day it was announced that Tyler “Scadoodle” Latham would also be rejoining. The trio will join Braxton “brax” Pierce and in-game leader Keven “AZK” Lariviere, along with coach Daniel “fRoD” Montaner. Such moves come off the back of both Austin “crashies” Roberts and Victor “food” Wong having been released at the beginning of September.

Everything is in place for Valorant to become the next big eSports game, with the first person shooter title from Riot Games having attracted a host of pros from CS:GO too. Jay “sinatraa” Won and Andrej “babybay” Francisty are among the biggest Overwatch talents to move to Valorant, while T1 will undoubtedly be hoping that the newly named Spyder’s skills will transfer well to the game. Known as sayaplayer in Overwatch, he was widely known for his Widowmaker plays during his time representing the Florida Mayhem.

When Will We See the New Look T1 Valorant Roster in Action?

The new T1 Valorant roster will be anticipating upcoming events, which includes First Strike, due to get underway at the start of next month. After finishing in the runner up spot at the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown back in June, T1 have failed to live up to expectations since. They came in 5th-8th at the PAX Arena Invitational, 7th-8th at the FaZe Clan Invitational, 9th-12th at the Pittsburgh Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series and most recently 7th-8th at the Pop Flash.
