S8UL Announces League of Legends Roster Ahead of Legends Ascend 2025

S8UL Esports, which is already known for having top lineups across several major games, has now decided to step into the world of League of Legends. The organisation officially announced it has signed one of South Asia’s strongest teams, showing clear intent to grow even more on the global esports stage.

A Mixed-Team That Already Proved Itself

The roster consists of players from India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. From India, Akshaj Shenoy (Kat Bot), Aakash Shandilya (Infi), Ahmed Shahid (Nero), and Mihir Ranjan (Angelslotus) make up the core, while Mehrab Uddin Ahmed (RTO) from Bangladesh and Tharuka Fernando (KratoZ) from Sri Lanka round it out. They have been competing together and delivering great results in the region for a while now.

Notably, Akshaj, Aakash, and Mihir were also part of India’s League of Legends squad at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou. That year, esports was added as a medal sport, and after topping the regional qualifiers, they made it to the quarterfinals and eventually placed fifth—pretty respectable given how competitive it was.

Proven Winners Before S8UL

This team is not just newly formed. In 2024, while playing under the Temple of Kings banner, they won several major tournaments, like the Skyesports WD Black Cups 1 and 2, Pro League, and all three editions of the SMG South Asia Cup. They also came out on top in TEC’s July and August Open events. Then, in 2025, while playing as Asterisk, they carried on the momentum with four more tournament victories. So, when S8UL brought them in, they already had a track record of success behind them.

Legends Ascend 2025: Their First Challenge

S8UL’s new LoL team will make its debut in Legends Ascend 2025, Riot’s first-ever publisher-backed amateur League of Legends tournament in India. The event features a ₹10 lakh prize pool and ends on August 3. Whichever team wins will qualify for the League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) Wildcard Playoffs, giving them a shot at the promotion/relegation tournament for the main LCP.

S8UL Expands Its Competitive Presence

With this roster, S8UL now fields top-tier squads across 12 major esports titles like VALORANT, Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone, EAFC 25, Pokémon UNITE, StarCraft II, and more. It’s also currently the only Indian organisation set to participate in the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, continuing to push the bar for Indian representation on the global stage.
