Oleksandr Kostyliev and his newly formed BC.Game have booked their place in Stage 2 of IEM Krakow following a convincing victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas. While the result alone marked a major step forward for the project, s1mple was quick to stress that both he and the team are far from their ceiling.

Despite only playing together for a matter of weeks, BC.Game showed clear structure and confidence in their win over NiP. For s1mple, that performance is just the beginning.

“We’re only at the start”

Speaking to HLTV after the match, s1mple highlighted communication as the biggest reason behind the team’s rapid progress, even though the lineup brings together players with very different backgrounds and playstyles.

“If we communicate every day and work together, we understand each other better and I can feel what my teammates want to do,” s1mple explained. “That makes the game much easier for me.”

He also made it clear that comfort and consistency will only improve with time.

“Our team has only existed for two or three weeks. If we play together for one or two months, I’ll feel much more comfortable, and I’m pretty sure my game will become even better,” he added.

Reunion with electronic already paying off

A key pillar of the BC.Game project is s1mple’s reunion with Denis Sharipov, better known as electronic. The duo previously won every major title together, and s1mple sees electronic’s tactical intelligence as crucial to building the new lineup.

“It’s fun playing with electronic. He’s a very smart player,” s1mple said. “While I usually listen during preparation and focus on outplaying opponents with the AWP, he’s the one who constantly suggests solutions, works out the details, and explains them to the team.”

Ready for Tier-1 opposition

Advancing to Stage 2 means tougher competition, something s1mple openly welcomes. BC.Game’s next challenge will be against the current world number one, Team Vitality, with the match scheduled for today at 19:00 CET.

For s1mple, returning to the highest level of competition is exactly where he wants to be.

“It feels really good to be back at a Tier-1 event,” he concluded. “I’m ready to play against any team.”

With momentum on their side and confidence growing rapidly, BC.Game enter Stage 2 in Krakow not just as underdogs, but as a team that believes its best performances are still ahead.
