One of the all-time best players in Counter-Strike, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, has formally transferred to BC.Game Esports, a tier-3 CS2 organization, following his departure from Natus Vincere (NAVI). The transfer, announced on July 28, 2025, represents a stunning change in the career path of a player who was once widely known as the GOAT of Counter-Strike.
Why BC.Game?

BC.Game, sitting 66th in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), is far from being a household name. Their presence in the tier‑2 and tier‑3 circuit has been non‑existent, with limited success under their name. They did, however, manage to sign s1mple, replacing Tim “nawwk” Jonasson, who was benched earlier in June.

“Dobby is free. I just want to play. BC.Game gave me the chance, and they’re serious about building a top-tier team.” he said via X(formerly Twitter)
One wise man said: “If you want to come back on tier 1 scene, you need to join tier 3 team. I haven’t done anything for two years. It’s time to change that. I can’t waste/lose game time sitting on bench.“
New Teammates and First Appearance

The current BC.Game players include nexa, pr1metapz, CacaNito on the bench. With s1mple in the AWP role now, the hopes have changed on how the team would be developed. Their first official game against him is on August 11 at the ESL Challenger League Season 50: Europe Cup 1, with a prize pool of $12,000 and a Challenger League Land at stake.
Final Thoughts

S1mple now joins fellow veteran nexa along with up-and-comer pr1metapz on a roster that’s still being finalized. The Belizian organization is eyeing new signings to build a competitive unit around their new centerpiece. BC Game is expected to make its official debut with s1mple at the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Europe, which kicks off on August 11.
Whether this is the beginning of a grand comeback or a wild detour in s1mple’s legendary career, one thing is clear: he’s not done playing yet.
