S1mple and ZywOo team up to raise funds for Ukraine

All Counter-Strike: Global Offensive lovers know perfectly who this pair of legendary players are.

ZywOo and s1mple are the best players this video game has ever seen, and despite always being rivals in the competitive scene, they will join forces for the greater good this time.

S1mple and ZywOo team up for a charity event

This pair of CS:GO superstars will team up for a charity tournament on December 22, 2022.

As announced a few hours ago, s1mple and ZywOo will be part of the same team in the charity event of Natus Vincere (NaVi) called Born to be Brave, which commemorates the anniversary of this successful Ukrainian organization.

Due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, the organization decided they would not celebrate their birthday as they have been used to every year. Instead, they will organize a charity event to raise money for the fundraising of the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Participating players

Born to be Brave will have the participation of players from major organizations worldwide, nine of which will lend their players for this charity event:

• ENCE
• FaZe Clan
• Team Liquid
• Fnatic
• NAVI
• MOUZ
• Vitality
• Astralis
• BIG.

The selected players will be divided into four teams:

• RUSH A RUSH B
• ONE SHOT
• GO KILL
• U SHALL NOT PASS

All-Stars Tournament

These teams will be formed by the IGL, AWpers, rifflers, and Supports of the previously mentioned teams, but with the exception that they will play mixed, that is to say, we will have a kind of All-Stars match with four participating teams.

For now, only s1mple and ZywOo are the players who are confirmed to participate in this charity event. According to the Ukrainian organization NaVi, the rest of the participating players will be announced next December 17 or when the donors of the cause complete the milestone “Rosters Unlock.”

Both legends of the game will be part of TEAM ONE SHOT. The format used in this tournament will be similar to what we are used to in ESL events.

The tournament will be played in single-elimination matches with two best-of-one games, while the last will be a best-of-three.

Suppose you want to support this noble cause of NaVi regarding the terrible situation in Ukraine with the war against Russia. In that case, you can do it in several ways.

On the charity’s official website, you can buy some tickets that will allow you to get some very nice rewards. Such as meeting s1mple through Discord, an s1mple MVP medal, a signed Ukrainian flag, or you could even win a trip to a Major.

In addition, fans will be able to directly impact the matches of this charity tournament since, if they donate a certain amount of money, they will be able to influence the choice of the maps that will be played.

All the money raised will go directly to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s initiative, UNITED24, which aims to raise funds for medical needs in his country.
