In its recent teaser trailer, Psyonix has offered a sneak peek into the glamorous world of the seventh competitive Rocket League season, which goes live today, June 15 and will bring a classy makeover to the game’s aesthetic.

The Rocket League Season 7 will launch on June 15 at 4 pm PDT and will run until September 7, bringing a new collection of items, tournament rewards and arena variants into the game, along with the new Rocket Pass.

Rocket Pass

Probably the shiniest addition to the game that the Season 7 Rocket Pass will bring is Maestro, the luxurious sedan boasting a Dominus Hitbox. “The ritziest car on the block”, as creators called it, is also the first Rocket League car to receive a golden touch.

However, that’s not the only thing that’s getting a golden finish. The new season will introduce Golden Painted Items — rare pieces for players with higher Rocket Pass Pro Tier. The minimal threshold for unlocking Golden Painted Items is Tier 70, however, some rarer pieces will require Tiers as high as 150.

Some of the other new items coming to Rocket League with the upcoming Season 7 include animated Aquarium Player Banner and Sushi Roller Wheels, which are meant to “create an illustrious atmosphere”, as well as car-outfitting items such as Marble Floor Decal and Carat Cutter Wheels. The developers also introduced the new Kinda Big Deal Player Title. Players can also look forward to the Gilded version of Utopia Coliseum Arena, which will feature marbled floors and pillars, giving the season an even fancier feel.

Tournament rewards

When it comes to Tournament Rewards, developers decided to take a break from the glamour and also mix a little bit of old-school into the season. Some of the tournament rewards that will be added include an arcade cabinet-themed banner or the Nunya: Roasted Wheels. Furthermore, the luckiest players might unlock a burst of doughnuts named Dunker Goal Explosion.

Furthermore, the Select Favorites 2 Series will start dropping blueprints one day after Season 7 is released, on June 16. the series will include classics such as Zomba Wheels, Dueling Dragons Goal Explosion or Interstellar Decal.

Custom Training Pack updates

For the most skilled Rocket League players, Psyonix finally plans to release updates of the Custom Training Pack, which will now reach “levels of cracked-ness never seen before”. The recent teaser trailer has also shown a goal explosion with the G2 Esports esports logo, which leads to the question can fans also look forward to explosions with other teams? We’re about to find out soon!
