VALORANT Champions 2025 race in Paris is now into the homestretch, and teams worldwide are vying to secure their spot. Stage 2 outcomes, Championship Points rankings, and also some last-minute roster changes are determining the final landscape. This is where the qualification process and the situation currently stand.
How Teams Qualify
The event will see 16 teams in Paris, and spots are determined with two channels for each region:
- Top 2 Stage 2 Playoff finishers
- Top 2 in the Championship Points table, which considers performance from Kickoff, Masters, Stage 1, and Stage 2 events.
This method ensures that teams that are consistent throughout the year and also teams that are peaking late season both have an opportunity to qualify.
Teams Already Qualified
Americas
- G2 Esports – They were the initial team to qualify by dominating Masters Toronto and creating a points gap that no other team can overcome.
- Sentinels – Earned their spot with a Stage 2 win against Cloud9, along with a solid points total overall.
EMEA
No team secured yet, but Fnatic remains at the top with 14 points, followed by Team Heretics (9), Team Liquid (8), and Team Vitality (6). All of them can still go either through playoffs or points.
Pacific
Stage 2 playoff bracket is already established. Paper Rex is leading in points, but still, no team has been secured.
China
- EDward Gaming (EDG) and XLG Esports lead in points.
- Bilibili Gaming is just one win behind them.
- Wolves Esports has a faint hope still on points if the playoffs are in their favor.

EMEA Roster Change – Karmine Corp’s Big Decision
Karmine Corp benched Efe “Elite” Teber and inserted Artur “pyrolll” Minin ahead of their crucial Stage 2 stint. Their game against Team Liquid on August 15 can determine whether they head to Paris or not.
