There are still two weeks to go before 2022 comes to an end, but one thing is for sure — the 2023 Rocket League Championship Series will be spectacular!

The 2023 season of the RLCS has begun

The 2023 Rocket League season has officially started with a bang — the RLCS Fall Split Major in Rotterdam, where the best 16 Rocket League teams in the World gathered to play spectacular and top-level matches, that did not disappoint us.

While fans were expecting to see Team BDS in the first Major of the season after an extraordinary victory at the World Championship, they were disappointed to see the team fail to qualify for the Major.

The 16 teams that kicked off the 2023 RLCS season were:

  • Karmine Corp
  • Oxygen Esports
  • G Mobil1 Racing
  • Team Secret
  • Version 1
  • Team Liquid
  • G2 Esports
  • FaZe Clan
  • Spacestation Gaming
  • Moist Esports
  • PWR
  • The Club
  • Team Falcons
  • Quadrant
  • Pioneers
  • James Cheese

Some of these teams do not yet have sponsors, so this was the golden opportunity for aspiring players to face Rocket League superstars and prove their worth in a top-level tournament.

For all esports lovers, it is always a pleasure to see that teams are from all over the world and even from countries that are unknown to many people. Regardless of the tournament’s results, we cannot deny that every one of the teams gave their best to give us a fantastic show.

Some surprises in the RLCS Fall Split Major

Many fans were pleasantly surprised by the level demonstrated by Karmine Corp since, after being an inconsistent team for much of 2022, they managed to finish the group stage with a spectacular 9-1 record. Admittedly, they did not make it past the playoffs, but they put on a great show.

Oxygen Esports was also one of the surprises, as they only lost two matches in the Group Stage.

Likewise, this Major was a perfect stage for those North American and British talents. Remember that Rocket League is the only esports where teams from these two regions shine with their light.

RLCS 2023

After finishing the RLCS Fall Split Major and witnessing all the battles during these days of competition, we can’t imagine how exciting 2023 will be for Rocket League.

After the Gen.G Mobil1 Racing victory and scoring 32 points at the RLCS in Rotterdam, we expect the two remaining Majors to be very intense to get the tickets for the next Worlds Championship in August 2023.
