In the latest patch update 6.11, Viper received another round of nerfs. However, for those who main Chamber, there’s reason to rejoice. Riot Games has made the decision to revive Chamber’s previously lackluster meta, bringing new life to the character and offering Chamber mains a renewed sense of excitement and opportunity in the game.

Viper Poison mechanics getting nerf

Viper will experience significant changes to her poison mechanics. The regeneration rate of her fuel will be reduced from 5% per second to 3.3% per second. This slower fuel regeneration means that Viper must exercise more caution and strategic planning when using her smoke and poison screen. Additionally, the time it takes for her fuel to fully regenerate after being depleted will be increased from 20 seconds to 30 seconds. While these adjustments may make Viper’s poison abilities more challenging to manage, it is unlikely to substantially impact her overall pick rate since she remains a unique and distinct controller agent.

Chamber will receive significant buffs

In an exciting update, Chamber will receive significant buffs to his abilities. His Trademark (C) ability, which allows him to disable enemy abilities, will now have an extended range, increasing from 4000 to 5000 units. Additionally, the trap arm speed for his Rendezvous (E) ability will be significantly reduced from 4 seconds to 2 seconds, enabling quicker deployment and catching opponents off guard.

One of the most anticipated changes is the ability for Chamber to instantly equip his weapon after teleporting, granting him a substantial advantage in combat situations. Furthermore, his ultimate ability, Tour De Force (X), will receive a 15% increase in firing rate, making it even more formidable. These buffs are sure to make Chamber a formidable force on the battlefield.

Fans are not happy with Viper’s Nerf

The recent announcement of these changes has received a negative response from the community, with numerous fans expressing their discontent in a Reddit post. A significant portion of the player base believes that these adjustments are unnecessary and question the reasoning behind them.

Many fans argue that these modifications will lead to a scarcity of smokes in matchmaking games, while others contend that playing the controller class will become even more challenging. As a result, it is highly likely that there will be a decrease in the number of players remaining in Viper once the new patch is released.
