With the upcoming Patch 6.11, Riot will introduce several eagerly anticipated changes to Valornt’s Pearl map including changes to Upper Ramp, Screen, Hall, and Tower Pillar.

The Pearl underwater map, which is located in Lisbon, Portugal, has an interesting design that resembles a traditional map with two sites and three lanes Nonetheless, Pearl has drawn a lot of criticism since the map’s release for its poor map design, particularly the B site, which greatly favors the Attackers while pushing or in after-plant scenarios.

Although many competitive teams choose Pearl due to its distinctive meta, ranked players frequently raised concerns about the map’s constrictive design. Riot has finally answered fans’ requests and made many significant changes to B-Site to make it a little bit more accessible to defenders. The changes to the map will hit the servers on June 6 with the patch 6.11 update, alongside several other changes including a buff to Chamber and nerf to Viper and Shorty.

Here are all the changes coming to Pearl with the 6.11 update

B-Upper Ramp

The slope behind the platform at the Upper Ramp part has been substituted with a tiny sub-platform, upon which they must jump to have a view of the spike defuser. The container itself is also considerably shorter, forcing potential attackers to rethink their plan before making any move.

B Screen

The attacker platform’s screen used to be overly strong, allowing snipers to hide and kill enemies from a distance. The screen has been made wider and shorter and has a few impenetrable blocks added behind it, providing more cover for defenders and enhancing the excitement of the sniper duel.

B-Hall

Valorant Players will have a little more room on the right side of the B-Halls Site’s section, which makes it the ideal place to hide or take cover during gunfights. The open layout of B-Hall will make retaking the site much simpler. The defenders can also peep out and gather information from the angle to the right as well as the one further back.

B Tower Pillar

Riot has increased the thickness of both the Tower Pillar and the platform on top, allowing the defenders more room to hold their positions. Aside from the broader area, not much else has changed, though players will still have an advantage over attackers in gunfights. Defenders guarding the site now have enough room to set up utility and play on the pillar itself thanks to the tower pillar’s thicker design.
