Riot Games Previews League of Legends Patch 25.15: What to Expect

fragster Stalingrad Dollosa 24. July 2025

Summary

  • Riot is going after a few of the meta champions with nerfs to cool them down after item changes.
  • Some champs that fell behind last patch will be getting buffed, and tweaks to bring them up to speed again
  • As always, Riot will add a new set of skins to keep the game fresh.

After a few patches where Riot threw the champions the equivalent of a buffet of buffs, we find ourselves on the back end of nerfs to reign them in. And that’s where League of Legends Patch 25.15 is going to head. If you’re in for a rank climb, you know it’s wild out there. And it does look like this patch looks like it’ll bring back Summoner’s Rift to a place back to balance.

Major Champion Nerfs

Riot Games is about to take a huge step towards balancing the game with the upcoming League of Legends Patch 25.15. This patch brings the champs that rose dramatically due to the recent item buffs against Blade of the Ruined King and Kraken Slayer down to earth with a bunch of nerfs.

  • Alistar: reducing his tankiness, effectively reducing his base armor from 47 to 40.
  • Bel’Veth: nerfed Q (Void Surge), aimed directly at the monumental spike she received from the item buffs to the Blade of the Ruined King and Kraken Slayer items.
  • Braum: new nerfs to previously nerfed durability stats. But it emphasizes the reduction in armor from 40 + 5.2 to 35 + 5.0.
  • Irelia: targets strictly solo-queue dominance, with base hp regen per 5 seconds going from 6 to 3.5
  • Master Yi: the nerf will tone down his insane crit build buffed by Blade of the Ruined King.
  • Nilah: Nerfs to scaling in the mid-game and late-game aimed to bring down her high bot lane win rate.
  • Pantheon: jungle-focused nerfs to reduce his damage and clear speed.
  • Quinn: nerf early to mid game waveclear, she will not maintain her push speed into the side lanes as easily. Attack damage remains untouched, as nerfs focused on utility rather than raw damage.
  • Rell: nerfs on the W shield to limit her over-the-top frontline durability.

Notable Buffs and Adjustments

League of Legends Patch 25.15 brings with it a precise wave of noteworthy buffs and champion-specific adjustments. These buffs reflect Riot’s intention to adjust champions that fell behind after recent adjustments to return them to the meta.

  • Kled: he got a total rework and nerfs in the last patch. Specifically, his win rate dropped roughly 0.8% in general games due to struggles remounting within teamfights. Nerfs aim to improve Kled’s remount reliability and durability in fights.
  • Riven: Riven was hit with an unfair nerf to her passive last patch. They’re fixing it alongside an issue with Riven’s Q3 to feel better to play.
  • Corki: Corki’s damage curve is extremely jagged despite him currently being balanced and strong in lane. Riot is looking to smooth out Corki’s damage curve to encourage more consistent gameplay through the mid-to-late game while still keeping with some strong laning phase early on.
  • Illaoi: Riot will remove the Vessel debuff duration. To offset this, she will receive a few small buffs to her power to keep her position of lane dominance.
  • Rek’Sai: They’re bringing back the true damage with the E ability. The ultimate (R) is being reworked from a single-target assassin burst tool to a reliable and consistent AoE tool.
  • Baron Nashor: no longer heals while in combat.

New Skins Drop: Spirit Blossom Springs

League of Legends Patch 25.15 will take players to a whole new chill vibe with Spirit Blossom Springs skinline. And it’s coming in live on July 30th, 2025! This new skin line takes lots of design from the peaceful feeling of traditional Ionian hot springs and eastern bathhouses.

Players have got seven amazing skins with champions we love, and even got the following champions:

  • Ahri
  • Aphelios
  • Sett
  • Sona
  • Volibear
  • Teemo
  • Yunara.

It’s worth mentioning that Ahri also has a Mythic variant called “After Hours.” This offers players a unique Mythic tier in case they want to add something even better to their collection.

Conclusion

League of Legends Patch 25.15 seems like Riot’s way of hitting pause after a whirlwind of champion buff season that made the rift feel unbalanced with some very dumb high-win champions. By toning down champions that are a little too annoying and buffing champions that are fine, they will still keep gameplay fresh, fair, and fun for everyone. Not to mention it’s cool they’re adding new skins with Spirit Blossom Springs. And that adds a little hype to the whole patch besides the gameplay itself!
