Riot Games is teasing fans with videos of the new League of Legends Champion. While some sneak peeks about Void Empress emerged earlier this year, finally, a video teaser of the new hero has been revealed. Based on the three videos released by the developer, The Void Empress promises to be an intense new character.

Two unlisted teaser videos have been posted on the League of Legends YouTube channel earlier this week, and one cinematic yesterday, each showing the new character. Riot later also confirmed Bel’Veth as the name for the champion number 160, set to come out later in season 12.

According to some League of Legends leakers, Bel’Veth will be likely released around June 8 with the Patch 12.11.

The Void Empress is coming

The first two videos, titled “To the Eye of the Void” and “To the Prophet of the Void” are structured as direct messages from the mysterious new character to existing League of Legends champions Malzahar and Vel’Koz. Both videos show images of a destroyed Runeterra, along with intimidating messages from a voice belonging to an unknown woman.

In the first video, the nameless figure addresses Vel’Koz with the following words: “Eye of the Void, your guardians are incapable of understanding. I am the Void, and I will recreate all of Runeterra.” The voiceover is accompanied by visions of armies of the Void about to fan out into the battle.

A vision

The second video, which shows Malzahar witnessing a vision of Shurima’s destruction, is overlaid with a harrowing voiceover that says: “My prophet, your empress has come. Witness your reward, the end of everything.”

The two unlisted teasers also show images of a humanoid face with two glowing purple eyes and a third eye implanted in the forehead that looks rather animalistic.

Everything the Void has consumed

The third cinematic titled “All that Will Ever Be” is a longer one and shows Kai’Sa meeting Bel’veth in The Lavender Sea. The Void Emperess answers the question of who she is by saying: “I am everything the Void has consumed. And just as I devoured this city…I will devour your world.” A battle between the two follows. In the end, Bel’Veth reveals her true nature.

The purple-violet hue is also a hint. In addition to these videos that appeared on the League of Legends YouTube channel, there is an updated splash art for Kai’Sa on the official League Universe website, in which the champion seems to be completely corrupted by the Power of the Void.
