According to reports by Jaxon, the Danish organization Astralis intends to remove  Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke from its active CS:GO lineup as a result of his alleged involvement in a fight in Malta.

The 25-year-old could be reportedly dropped from the Danish esports organization’s current CS:GO lineup as a result of an alleged physical fight that occurred in Malta following his team’s elimination from the ESL Pro League Season 16 on 18th September. Earlier this month, k0nfig was removed from Astralis’ starting lineup for RMR owing to an ankle injury that appeared to be the consequence of a fist brawl in Malta, according to reports.

The speculations caught the attention of k0nfig and he came forward with a series of tweets on the situation. The CSGO pro initially seemed to cryptically corroborate the claims in his first tweet, saying that he was “sorry and feeling guilty.” However, k0nfig later denied that the post was related to the alleged physical incident.

According to him, the new agency Jaxon approached him with reports that were “mostly BS,” but were nevertheless included in the story despite K0nfig’s desire to have them kept confidential. He dismissed the allegations as “rumours,” adding that he is ready to return to the roster as soon as his doctors clear him to do so. Due to his fractured ankle, the 25-year-old is currently out of competitive action.

“Jaxon contacted me with rumors that are mostly BS, and I asked them to respect it is private. Ofc they went ahead anyway and even added to the story, so I asked them not to contact me again”  Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke on Twitter

Will k0nfig return to Astralis?

The organization announced earlier this month that k0nfig won’t be making the IEM Road to Rio RMR A, which is slated to run from October 4-9. The academy member Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen, who was chosen as their official substitute player prior to the RMR event roster deadline, will compete in the RMR alongside the Danish heavyweight.

Additionally, Astralis is connected to a purported agreement for Nicolai “device” Reedtz with Ninjas in Pyjamas. NIP apparently has a buyout price of €1,000,000 EUR in mind for the Danish sensation. With the development of new speculations, it will be interesting to see whether Astralis decides to break ways with k0nfig and move Asger “farlig” Jensen to a different role rather than replacing him. The CS:GO community is curious to hear Astralis’ response since they haven’t made any formal statements about any of the claims.
