Esports Showdown in Paris

A mix of seven unique teams will face one another in Paris, at the iconic Accor Arena. The single-day tournament on December 15 is not officially backed by Riot Games, and will rather feature exhibition matches for entertainment. This doesn’t take away the intensity of competition, though. 

Red Bull League of Its Own 2024 retains the format of its previous and inaugural season in 2023. Six contenders, all with impressive skills and pro caliber, will attempt to take down the most decorated team in LoL esports, T1, in swift best-of-one matches.

The South Korean legendary team has their recent back-to-back Worlds ‘23 & ‘24 championship and a long list of achievements adorning their history. At the core of T1 is League’s “final boss” and “GOAT”, Faker himself, making the event’s design make even more sense. 

While T1 in their top form will almost be impossible to conquer, Red Bull League of Its Own 2024 teams can fortunately hold onto some hope. The special draft format in the event limits T1 to pick any champion only once throughout the whole tournament. Meanwhile, the whole champion pool will be available to all the other teams.

Red Bull League of Its Own 2024 Teams and Rosters

Some recent changes to the T1’s roster have also made it so that it’s unpredictable how well they can perform in the tournament. The team’s top laner, Zeus, have swapped places with HLE’s Doran for the 2025 season, meaning that “DOFGK” will be the main roster for a year. Meanwhile, T1’s support, Keria, will not be able to attend due to his basic military training service. Former T1 player and streamer Untara will stand in for him.

While the live event will be held in Paris, the matches would be broadcasted to a global audience via Twitch and YouTube.
